It has Yamaha's exclusive patented PlayXchange, allowing the user to change four discs while the fifth is playing. It features Picture CD (such as JPEG Playback. Video Processing includes NTSC/PAL Progressive Scan Video Output, 108MHz/12-Bit Video DAC's for High Picture Quality, S-Video and Composite Outputs and Video Picture Mode. Audio Processing includes 192kHz/24-Bit Audio D/A Concersion for High Sound Quality, Optical and Coaxial Digital Outputs, CD Upsampling (2x and 4X) and SA-CD and DVD-Audio Playback compatibility. It has a remote control, Versatile Disc (DVD+RW/+R, DVD-R/-RW, Super Video CD, Video CD, CD and CD-R/RW Playback. It had CD Text Display, On-Screen Menu Icons and a Zoom Function.
