Product Description
Amazon.com Product Description
Incredibly affordable and uniquely designed to play your digital media, Malata's super-slim DVP-806 is also configured for ready viewing on your PC monitor. Connect an MP3 player, a card reader, and other external devices through its USB jack or simply spin your homemade digital music and digital photo CDs for listening through your stereo or surround system and viewing on your television. Want to sing along? The DVP-806 has a karaoke feature, too.
The player is also ready for your favorite movies, of course, in either standard NTSC or in the PAL format (region 1 or all-region discs only). Whether your living room is currently home to an HDTV or you're merely thinking of "someday," the DVP-806 can deliver the full potential of your DVDs through its advanced MDDI progressive scanning. Progressive scanning, referred to as 480p for the number of horizontal lines that compose the video image, creates a picture using twice the scan lines of a conventional DVD picture, giving you higher resolution and sharper images while eliminating nearly all motion artifacts.
Top-of-the-line component-video outputs (switchable between 480p and standard 480i) help minimize digital and line-scan artifacts on compatible advanced televisions, while composite- and S-video outputs bring compatibility with nearly any television. For your PC hookup, the player sports a 15-pin D-Sub VGA output.
A set of left/right analog-audio outputs channel audio to Dolby Pro Logic receivers and stereo televisions. Dolby Digital 5.1-channel surround-sound signals can be routed through the player's digital-audio outputs (one each of RCA coaxial and Toslink optical) for direct connection to a full-featured audio/video receiver, or decoded and sent to "Dolby-ready" receivers via a set of 6 RCA analog outputs.
A parental lock keeps young eyes off mature content.
What's in the Box
DVD player, remote control, remote batteries, user's manual, stereo analog audio interconnect/composite-video cable.
