You can even enjoy an onscreen slideshow of your cherished digital photos from recordable CDs filled with JPEG image files, including Kodak Picture CDs, which offer greater viewing flexibility. The player comes with audio/video output jacks, letting you use it in the home as a high-quality video source device using the supplied AV cables.
If you've got a high-definition or HD-ready TV, you're in luck: the player even provides progressive-scan video outputs optimized for high-res sets. Progressive scanning, referred to as 480p for the number of horizontal lines that compose the video image, creates a picture using twice the scan lines of a conventional DVD picture, giving you higher resolution and sharper images while eliminating nearly all motion artifacts.
A pair of minijack stereo headphone outputs makes the player well suited to backseat use by the kids, or for simply watching discs or listening to music with a companion. (Headphones are not included.) The JD-VD753 comes with an AC/DC power adapter to conserve batteries during indoor use.
