The set produces crisp, lively images using a 3-inch color, anti-glare, thin-film-transistor (TFT) active-matrix LCD with a 122,320-pixel screen (approximately 404 x 303). And, at about the size of a small stack of 3 x 5 cards, the TV slips easily into any purse or jacket pocket.

Other features include auto channel tuning and a set of audio/video input jacks so you can use the set as a monitor for a DVD player, VCR, camcorder, digital camera, or gaming console. A monaural earphone jack affords private listening using optional headphones, and there's also a jack for hooking up an external antenna, though a telescoping antenna comes built-in.

Keeping in mind that analog television signals will be extinct in another year or so, I think this TV is a bit overpriced.

Having said that,

It's everything you would expect from a battery operated portable television of this size. The controls are simple and the picture is acceptable.

The fact that a protective case for this thing has to be special ordered for an additional 15 or 20 dollars is a drag but what can you do? You either need it or you don't.

I live in a canyon. This is the only TV we own that will pick up the broadcast signal. There is no static in the sound and the picture quality can require some adjustment of the antenna position and the power cord (I purchased the AC adaptor separately, another $60-$70) but it does get pretty decent reception of local UHF and VHF stations. So I rate the receiver quality very high. What is driving me crazy is that the component that the AC adaptor plugs into is bad. I am constantly trying to position the cord so that the circuit is complete. If I tough it to change channel, chances are that it will turn off because I will have up set the delicate positioning where the connection is made. Since it does not remember the channel you were on every time I try to change channel you have to start from scratch on trying to keep the connection while you go through the channels. What a nuisance! I am looking to replace it because this is just too annoying. I have used it with batteries from time to time and that works well but it burns through them in no time. Buy lots of batteries if you want to use it that way. Also the plastic piece that makes it stand up on its own was constantly falling out and has cracked. This comes bare bones--no way to connect to cable, no head phones, no adaptor, etc.

This was a gift for my husband. He uses the TV when he is in his truck traveling. He likes it because it is color and small enough to go anywhere.

Folks what do you expect from a portable tv!? It's working fine for me. Common sense tells me, it all depends on where you live. Some areas get good reception, some area don't. One trick, use the antenna and the antenna wires (most wires will do) at the same time. It does help. Compare to other portable tv's, this one is doing fine for me. Enjoy.

The Amazon review of this item provides a cryptic description of what is included. I thought I would have a plug-in option to save batteries, etc. I didn't get anything described..just the TV! What is described on Amazon is very deceptive. You do not recieve anything other than the TV. The description on the website implies other options are included. They are not.

Now to my soapbox. I avoid identifying websites. I am the child of the little business owner and don't want to put a negative onus on a WEBSITE.

Unfortunately I had a very rude and contentious contact with the "cheapest" seller. This young person could not get that you don't argue with a customer. You just say, "I'm sorry." My father had a small business in a small town and he taught us that is one of the most important words you can say to a customer or other people on this planet. Although he was right 99% of the time, he always deferred to the customer. If he left a free package of matches out of the order, we delivered it (ala I walked 10 miles to school)!
All Amazon sellers, be particular and courteous to your buyuer..even if they are wrong.
