Multitask in your home office or kitchen and save space with the Sceptre sv-Gecko II 15-inch LCD TV, which can also double as a PC monitor. You'll also be able to ditch your PC's external speakers, thanks to the side-mounted speakers that produce 3 watts of power per channel (for 6 watts of total power). It features a standard, cable-ready 181-channel NTSC tuner and a table stand, but the unit can also be wall-mounted with optional hardward (VESA compatible).

This monitor/TV has a 1024 x 768-pixel resolution, 4:3 aspect ratio, 25 ms (millisecond) response rate, 165-degree viewing angle, 350 cd/m2 (candela per square meter) brightness rating, and 500:1 contrast ratio. (The higher the contrast ratio, the greater a TV's ability to display subtle color details and not get washed out by ambient room light.) It also includes a multi-language on-screen display (English, German, France, Italian, Spanish). It provides the following connections:

Fabulous TV.......2005-09-09

I am only reviewing this as a TV, not a monitor. I was really impressed with this unit for this price. The colors are extremely vibrant and the picture quality is crystal clear. I was able to setup this unit with cable and DVD within minutes with no problems. The design is much more impressive in person than in photos. There is a very nice cord cover in the back which streamlines all your connectors making cords less visible. If I had one complaint at all, it would be the remote. This is based on personal preference only. It is one of the flat remotes where the buttons are just slightly raised. I use this TV in the bedroom and prefer to be able to use the feel of the buttons to use it. Overall, you cannot beat this price for such a great TV!

This LCD is definitely a best buy for the price. Very bright, sharp picture and awesome colors. I'm giving it 4 stars because of the one dead pixel right in the middle of the screen (very annoying) and it's not very good as a second monitor (25ms response time).
