This set is compatible with 480p (EDTV) and 108i and 720p (HDTMV) display formats. It has a built-in 181-channel NTSC tuner and it's capable of displaying high definition TV signals with an optional receiver. It has a resolution of 1280 by 768 pixels. It also features an 800:1 contrast ratio, 500 cd/m2 (candela per square meter) brightness rating, and 170-degree viewing angle. (The higher the contrast ratio, the greater a TV's ability to display subtle color details and not get washed out by ambient room light.)
The 3D Y/C digital comb filter analyzes consecutive scanning lines within a field as well as the preceding and following fields. This results in improved detail and color purity, a more stable video image, and nearly eliminating dot crawl and color bleeding. It has two built-in, 8-watt stereo speakers for 16 watts of total power, and it features the following video connections:
