The PA1701T-SB boasts a 17-inch LCD screen with razor-sharp images, an internal NTSC tuner for convenient television viewing (with cable input), and a 1,280 x 1,024-resolution picture. A handy picture on picture (POP) features lets you watch TV on top of your PC window, a great opportunity to squeeze some channel surfing in while you're waiting for your PC to boot up.

Stereo speakers powered by 3 watts each offer lively sound, and the set's image quality is enhanced by a high (350:1) contrast ratio, peak brightness of 250 candles/square meter, and wide (160 x 160-degrees) viewing angles.

Hookup couldn't be simpler with S-video, composite-video, stereo analog-audio inputs, and mini din jacks for your PC. The monitor also offers dual NTSC/PAL format compatibility, .28 mm dot pitch, 30 ms response time, and 16.7 million displayable colors.

okay my friend recently purchased this item, and the picture is just awful compared to other lcd tv's out there that supports HD-Tv! the sound is acceptable but the view messes it up for the whole tv. i'm encouraging you not to buy this item, and instead buy the Samsung 20'' 1763 which is much better then this TV

POOR TV FOR BED ROOM.......2004-02-13

I BOUGHT THE TV BECOUSE THE 5 STAR REVIEW, I WAS VERY LET DOWN WHEN I HOOKED THE TV UP FOR MY BEDROOM TV. FIRST THE REMOTE WAS VERY SMALL THE SIZE OF A CREDIT CARD, BUTTONS SMALL AND VERY CLOSE TO EACH OTHER. TV IS ABOUT 20 FEET FROM BED, REMOTE WOULD ONLY WORK ABOUT 6 FEET FROM TV, I TRIED TO BUY UNIVERSAL REMOTE TO SOLVE PROBLEM , TV DOSE NOT SUPPORT UNIVERSAL REMOTE CODES. PICTURE WAS VERY DARK EVEN WITH COLOR ADJUSTMENT ALL THE WAY UP. AFTER ALL THAT ONE SPEAKER DID NOT WORK. I HOPE IF YOU BUY THIS TV YOU HAVE BETTER LUCK THAN ME! I ENDED UP BUYING A 20 INCH VIZON VERY HAPPY, NO PROBLEMS

The screen quality is great, all the icons are sharp and the color is great.
The TV feature is nice becuase you can move the PIP window around in the screen and change the size. It comes with a nice litle remote. I love it becuase of the picture quality and the space it saved. I wanted something bigger than the 15" so it works great.
