Samsung also includes its proprietary video-enhancement technology, Digital Natural Image engine (DNIe). DNIe performs 3D noise reduction and detail and contrast enhancement for all interlaced (non-HD) sources.
Samsung's HD Fine Pitch screen further improves picture clarity, especially when viewing higher-definition video sources like DVD and HDTV. The fine-pitch, .52 mm screen brings out subtle image details otherwise unnoticeable on standard .72 mm pitch screens. Samsung's Auto PerfectFocus auto-convergence system corrects picture focus at the push of a button. All onscreen information and menus appear in translucent overlays, letting you view video programs in the background while you consult the setup menus.
A total of 10 video inputs handles more than most of the sets out there and includes a DVI (digital visual interface) input with HDCP copy protection, three composite-video and two high-definition component-video inputs, two S-video inputs, and two standard RF inputs (for VCRs and cable boxes).
