Zenith R50W47 is a 50" 16: 9 HDTV Rear Projection TV.PRODUCT FEATURES: Integrated NTSC/ATSC/Digital Cable QAM (unscrambled) Tuner; A fully integrated ATSC tuner with the ability to receive off-air high definition broadcasts without the need for an external set-top box; A digital cable tuner (QAM) allows for the reception of digital cable signals that are not scrambled; HD Grade Optics improves brightness and focus, and reduces overall cabinet depth; HD Focus - automatic system that eliminates the need to manually adjust the picture; Simply select HD Focus from the onscreen set-up menu, and 16 sensors automatically adjust the picture from center to edge in ten seconds; Fine Pitch Screen - 0.52mm dot pitch improves picture detail; HD Grade High Output CRTs maximize brightness and picture detail - Specifically developed for digital program content; Most HDTVs use upconversion of analog signals (linedoubling) to simulate an HD picture, which introduces artifacts that appear as pixilated scenes due to digital conversion. Using advanced digital display, these picture artifacts are nearly eliminated; Most movies are shot on film, and film operates at a frame rate of 24fps (frames per second), compared to video which operates at 30fps. 3: 2 pulldown properly detects and syncs film to video for smooth theater-like pictures at home; Built-In High Contrast Protective Shield; Built-In Rear Carrying Handles - easily move from room to room.
