For clear music from homemade CDs, MP3 Re-Master technology restores music data from MP3 files that may have been lost when compressed from linear PCM tracks. save your money yo. i bought this cd player and while the sound, radio, mp3, cd player, and such was great, it just fell apart day by day. first the headphones broke. next, the screen shattered everywhere. i might have just had bad luck, but most sony players ive owned have lasted much much much longer than two months.

This is a great cd player i got it on my 11 birthday and i lovethe remote but i have had some problems. First the display showed it had full batery life then a few minutes later it said it had less than half so i checked the bateries and put them back in and it turned on for a second and said the bateries were dead. Then about a month after the headphones started falling apart. One time one just broke in half. Then i turned it off, and went to sleep then i heard some music. I cheked my cd player and it had turned on by it's self.

I have had my panasonic SL-SV570 cd player since september 2004 and till this day it still works.This is a great cd player which can play MP3's,it has Am/fm radio and has 3 levels of bass boost and volume level goes up to 25.Now I have dropped this cd player about 5 times, one time on concrete.After the drop on concrete it's mirror lens in the middle kept shaking and it would not stop unless i turned off the cdplayer, so it did not play cd's but it still played the radio untill i gave it a good punch and it stopped shaking.The Cd player cover does not close now so i have to wrap the cdplayer with a rubberband vertically to keep it close.I am getting a new one soon but i just want to tell you that it's pretty durable but expect parts of the cdplayer to get damaged if dropped but it won't just stop working on you.

The SLSV570 acts like a good player, with it's MP3 and radio features, but it's just AWFUL with durability.

Firstly, some MP3 discs wouldn't play. I had no clue why, they were the same brand.

Secondly, the lid broke when I dropped it on soft carpet from about 2 feet. This was highly dissappointed.

Get the SLCT582V. It's 10x better.
