Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars Latch problem.......2004-04-13

I purchased one of these units and they sound really great! I really enjoyed the XP-SR320 until the cds played intermittently. I believe the problem is with the locking latch. When closing the cover and locking it sometimes the cd would not mount but when push down on the cover with my hand the display would show that a cd was ready to play, when I let go the display would go blank. The cd would play fine as long as I pushed down on the lock but it finally went bad altogether but the radio still works. The unit worked fine about 6 months. My friend also had this same unit and his unit stop playing cds as well. It's kind of disapointing because this is one of the best sounding portable cd players I have ever heard.

5 out of 5 stars Love it!.......2003-12-30

I've owned it for two years and I love the features it has!

5 out of 5 stars Great.......2003-10-31

I have always been an very loyal Aiwa buyer and this player didn't disappoint me. It is a great bang for the buck. I read some reviews any some spoke of quality problems and i would like to point out that those problems are pretty frequent in Sony, Panasonic and other brand too. The main problem is that the drive axle gets a bit loose after lots of use and the cd "tilts" while spinning. This creates friction and sometimes in severe cases can cause the cd player to stop playing. Aiwa has been a very reliable brand in my oppinion and they REALLY shines in cassette decks. They make portable cassette decks with CD quality. As a side note i would like to point out that Aiwa is in fact a division of Sony. Sony has a 50% controlling stake in the company. Anyway, in portable audio, u can't go wrong with Aiwa.

1 out of 5 stars done at 6 months, too!.......2003-03-10

After about 6 months of great performance, this "joggable" is gone. Skip, skip, skip. I'm back to the old cassette player until I try another "sport friendly" cd player. I've been loyal to Aiwa from past experiences. However, it's time for another brand.

1 out of 5 stars D.O.A!!! Well Almost.......2003-03-04

I thank Aiwa for one thing. That this player died on the 29th day of my 30 day return policy. There is no way Im shipping this piece to have it repaired. I thought this was the greatest player ever until it started making a loud wobbling noise and flashing "ERR" and not playing the disc. I changed batteries, plugged it in and it made no difference. I took a leap and paid $...for this and it is dead! I feel very violated and don't know who to trust since my Panasonic died (albeit after 2 years of mild abuse) and everything out there worth it's salt is $...or more. I just need a good CD player that doesnt skip that I can work out with!
