The GPX C4030 portable CD player supports audio CDs, CD-R/RW discs, plus FM/AM radio. The FM/AM radio offers eighteen presets, making it easy to quickly find a favorite station. The CD player has various play modes including normal, repeat all songs, repeat one song and random. With a ten-second anti-shock system, is possible to use the player while walking or riding in a car. The six-digit LCD screen displays all pertinent information for both radio and CD operations. The player runs on two AA batteries. To help keep the user aware of remaining battery power, the player offers a low battery alert. Should you run out of batteries, simply hook up the included AC adaptor for an unlimited power supply. Along with the AC adaptor, the package also comes with digital headphones, making the player very versatile. With the bass boost system, sound quality is much-improved, helping to counter the bass-low characteristics of headphones. Other features include: hold, resume and intro scan.

This CD player works only if you are sitting absolutely still and breathing shallow. It's heavy, large and the headphones are junk. It does produce a good sound though and I think it works much better with the ESP off rather than on. There are much better products on the market for less money.

Giving this brand one star is too much. The first one I received the volume didn't work. I returned it and received a replacement. Well guess what, the second will not read ANY CD! I have learned my lesson with this brand. I will never purchase another product from this company. It is not worth the time and hasssle in my opinion. For anyone wanting to purchase a portable CD player, buy the extra few dollars and save yourself a headache.

I bought this CD player and it was a total waste of money!First of all, it skips on almost every song and you have topractically turn it off then on again to get it to work for a fewseconds and then skip again. Also, although it is called a"slimline", I can't even fit it into my huge cargo pocket onmy pants. The headphones are very crappy too; I had to buy another...pair!If you buy this you might as well just flush your [money] downthe toilet!

I bought two of these units for my kids to use on their bus rides to school. After a couple months the skipping became terrible. The sound was never clean- maybe a function of the flimsy headphones. In any case, I'm trying to get the things serviced by the company, but it doesn't look promising. As others have said, "Hello Sony!"

This product was soo cool...i had been looking for a cd player for a long long time and i finally found this one, it never skips even when u drop it and the esp makes it do ur music is crystal clear in the car. Its tiny and very lightweight so it wouldnt be drag to carry around. I really like it. it was good for the price
