The Coby CX-TV1 5-inch black-and-white TV with built-in AM/FM radio is a compact, basic TV with AM/FM tuner. It offers four power options--battery, AC/DC power using the supplied power adapter, or car/boat power using the supplied cord. The TV's NTSC tuner receives VHF channels 2 through 13 as well as the full UHF band, and the large tuning dial is conveniently mounted on the right side of the unit. There are also contrast, brightness, and vertical-hold dials. The built-in radio receives AM and FM broadcasts. A headphone jack is provided for private listening, and the CX-TV1 has a built-in telescoping antenna. An optional external antenna can be connected as well.

I very cheap TV. After using it in the kitchen for about a week, it has now been taken out of service and has become another storage item. I would not recommend purchasing one.

The product was delivered on time. It's great to watch TV next to my computer. Channel 2 comes in fuzzy but that is alright. It is also good to have around when the power goes out.

it had a problem.......2007-04-16

I bought this item refurbished for 12 bucks. I hooked it up fo a coby travel-sized dvd player. I bought this for my home gym & I'm happy that it has no issues playing my cds or dvds... however there was a rather large issue recieving on-air television signals. the picture was clearer then I expected but, even at full power, the sound could not be raised beyond a (barely audible) whisper. this set would be worthless had I planned on using it to recieve tv.
I forgot to test the radio.

I'm happy with my purchase, but I would NOT recomend it.

If there were a "0" star rating this product deserves it. Don't buy it. The one I bought couldn't power up usually (with charger - think I was investing another $10 in batteries???). When I finally got a "lit" tv screen, couldn't tune into any channels and I live in clear range of the highest, strongest tv transmission towers in town - unobstructed! The radio never worked. It was just a plain piece of garbage. I paid $19.99 (Now it's on sale for $14.99! Yippee!!) and returned it to Amazon for a prompt refund. Lugging it to the post office and waiting on line there was more fun than spending hours with it trying to get it to work. Beware!

Waste of money.......2007-02-18

I've had multiple problems with this TV. Horizontal lines not in sync, picture fades out, poor reception, very poor quality. I got what I paid for but wish I had shopped a bit longer to get a better TV.
Don't waste your money.
