Adding a unique twist to conventional car stereos, the Dual XDV-8125 unit includes not just a CD player and AM/FM tuner, but also a 2.5-inch LCD screen that receives live TV reception. Thanks to the TV tuner, car owners can pick up the ballgame, catch a few moments of All My Children, or watch the local news while in the car--provided they're parked, of course. The resolution is crisp at 480 by 234 (with backlight), and Dual threw in six TV presets so you can quickly surf among your favorite channels. The in-dashboard device even includes two sets of AV inputs for connecting to a DVD player, game console, or other video source.

And when watching TV isn't appropriate--such as while driving--viewers can simply adjust the motorized faceplate to reveal the CD slot and the dot-matrix LCD screen, which details the system information. The CD player supports CD-R and CD-RW playback, while the radio tuner boasts 18 FM and 12 AM station presets.

Sound-wise, the XDV-8125 features a robust internal amplifier (22 watts x 4) that gives your music a rich, full-bodied flair. To further boost the audio, Dual included a two-band semi-parametric equalizer and five selectable EQ curves (pop, jazz, classic, beat, and rock). The multiple settings are ideal for listeners who like to customize the audio to fit their tastes. And it's easy to make such adjustments while driving due to the oversized control knob.

Other features include an adjustable viewing angle for the TV (choose from 43 tilt angles); front, rear, and subwoofer preamp outputs that help you build a bigger system; a video output for connecting the TV tuner to larger monitors; and a wireless remote that makes tuning easier than ever. As an added bonus, the XDV-8125 also supports an optional camera connected to the rear of the vehicle, a nice add-on for people in SUVs or other large vehicles who frequently need to parallel park. When enabled, the screen automatically switches to the rear view camera each time the driver shifts into reverse.

I bought this for my sig. other and he just loves it to death, and so do all of his family and friends. This product was easy to install, looks good, and fits in the space that a typical radio fits in which is great. Everything works great, and the tv reception is okay, also easy hookup to a dvd player.

i bought this same item from best buy and the cd palyer stopped working after only one month. i took it back to the shop and they said i had to take the radio out and send it back to the manufactuer and then get it installed again and of course that would have taken weeks. so i now have a broke cd player . but everything else is perfect. but now i hvae to buy a cd changer so i can play my cds

Hazardous product.......2006-03-15

I ordered this for Christmas. The TV never worked but he liked playing the radio and his cds. During the second week of January, it started to smoke and my husband (a contactor) said the internal mechanisms were fried becasue the regulator was discharging 18 volts vs. the 13 volts the specifications called for. I notified Amazon and they replaced it for free. Before my sone was allowed to use it, my husband tested it and this regulator was putting out 18.5 volts. I notified Amazon Customer Service and would not reccommend this unit to anyone.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my wife. TV plays well for a small screen and a black and white. Radio plays. CD would not operate. Motor operates, but I think the laser was a dud. I am returning the unit now to Amazon for a replacement unit.

You get what you pay for. Low price, not much power. CD plays much lower than radio. TV works well once tuned in. Not too bad for the money, but don't expect that much.

This machine is amazing. The unit is loud and extremely entertaining – 50W power and all the features I wanted. Really like the feature of Digital Pitch Control to change my voice and also adjust the key of my voice. Cool thing – when put karaoke disc the TV turns ON/OFF automatically. Compared to the other machines I checked out – this is the best so far in power, looks and features. It is built really well. Only thing I would like to see improved is have a color TV built-in instead of Black & White. Will recommend this unit to all – will not be disappointed.

I am 38 yrs old and received this as a Christmas present. I have never had a Karaoke Machine before, but this unit rocks!! It comes with a little TV to see the lyrics, but it is awsome when you plug into your big screen tv!!! I don't ever want to stop singing!! All my friends want to come over and sing!!!
