From its high-tech detachable control panel to its finned cast-aluminum transmitter heat sink, the 79-290 incorporates features found on no other CB unit. Additional features include full-surface mounting technology, a fiberglass-printed circuit board, a dual power output stage, and a digital information screen using a black matrix LCD. It provides a choice of channel readout or frequency readout with a 4-in x 2-in black matrix LCD panel and a choice of upper or lower sideband operation plus AM. Includes a deluxe microphone, mobile bracket, DC cord, and hardware.
