If you find yourself in inclement weather, you'll appreciate the water resistant housing. The hands-free VOX feature allows for hands-free operation. 836 sub-channels allow for private communicating. The G-227 operates on four AAA batteries and run for around fifteen hours. Remember that you'll need a FCC license to operate these powerful radios.
