The Amp 3 stereo power amplifier from AudioSource is a powerful addition to your home audio system and home theater. A simple design houses a high-end, high-power amplifier that is easy to set up and use. The powerful Amp 3 provides up to 150 watts per channel in stereo mode and up to 400 watts in mono. Clean, pure sound is a hallmark of the amplifier with total harmonic distortion of less than 0.04%. In the heart of the amp, the torodial power transformer generates a big sound while reducing distortion by shielding the sound from stray magnetic fields. A peak limiter circuit provides further protection against distortion in your speakers at high volumes. Discrete output devices ensure pure signal fidelity from all sources.
The Amp 3's auto-on feature powers up the amplifier whenever an input signal from an audio source is detected. The unit will shut down automatically when no signal is present. A manual power switch can also be used.
There are two pairs of speaker outputs on the Amp 3. Both outputs can be used simultaneously, as long as the combined impedance does not drop below 2 ohms. With the Amp 3, you can control the volume directly on the unit, or by adjusting the signal source component (such as your receiver, preamp, etc.) Separate channel level controls allow for individual adjustment.
