By no means am I a rabid audiophile, but I know good equipment when I hear it. This little thing rocks HARD! Definitely buy an adapter or it will eat your batteries. I mostly use it to drive outdoor speakers that are connected from my computer. Also works great with MP3 player and laptop.

This product is made cheaply worth its price of $30. The technology inside this box is worth over $1000.T-Amp can be the next big thing in amplification, although, the company who developed it, Tripath, is in bankruptcy. Buying this amp is the best introduction to T-amp concept.

Fantasically great yet cheap.......2007-05-21

Nothing new about this review. The audio quality is fantastic. The components are ridiculously efficient (sounds more like 50 watts than 15). And the casing and connectors are beyond cheap. You typically only find this kind of "build quality" at the Dollar Store. But strip the components out and embed them in another device and you'll have a great system.

I recommend a 2 amp power supply. I had an old Energizer battery charger power supply (actual charger had long since been lost) that worked great, but the connector is buried deep inside the T-Amp, so the connection wasn't good until I pulled the thing apart. Now I'm running it on a 12 volt 5 AH SLA battery that also charges my iPod. Great setup, WAY better than Apple's iPod HiFi, and WAY cheaper. Just get an Insten brand dock with remote and some good speakers and crossover network (partsexpress through Amazon is great) and you'll have a wonderful, affordable, powerful system.

I bought this amp to power my outdoor BOSE 151's. Not only will it max these speakers when plugged in, it also can be run on AA batteries. $30 well spent.

Hot audio product!.......2007-04-11

After all the hype on-line about the T-amp, I had to check it out for myself. All the reports are true! This is one hot little audio amp which can not be touched for the price. If you have a portable audio device and two speakers you need to drive with it - this amp is for you. You will not be disappointed. I recommend purchasing the AC power supply as well. You can find others cheaper, but the recommended one works perfectly and insures the warrantee for the T-amp remains valid.
