The Xs Series of power amplifiers from Crown represents a new era in affordable, quality power amplification. The line consists of four models in a uniform, rugged 2U chassis, incorporating the best of tried-and-true design principles and innovative features. The Xs1200 has the following power ratings at 1 kHz:
900 watts - 2 ohm dual (per channel)
750 watts - 4 ohm dual (per channel)
450 watts - 8 ohm dual (per channel)
1900 watts - 4 ohm bridge
1645 watts - 8 ohm bridge
Housed in a rugged, all-steel 2U chassis.
Efficient forced-air fan prevents excessive thermal buildup.
2-channel models have XLR-1/4" combo inputs, 3-pin Phoenix-style inputs, daisy-chain XLR outputs, touch-proof binding post outputs and Speakon outputs. Xs4300 has XLR-1/4" combo inputs and touch-proof binding post outputs.
Precision detented level controls, power switch, and five LEDs which indicate clip for each channel, power, AC mains, temperature and fault conditions.
Microprocessor-controlled protection system.

Level: Two or four front-panel, gray rotary level controls, one for each channel.
Power: Front-panel switch; on when in the right-hand position.
Signal: Two or four green LEDs, one for each channel, illuminates when the channels input signal level is above 40 dBu.
Clip: Two or four front-panel red LEDs, one for each channel, illuminates when the channels output signal is being overdriven.
Power: Yellow front-panel LED indicates amplifier has been turned on and AC power is available.
AC Mains: Red front-panel LED indicates the presence of AC power at the power cord, even if the amplifier is not turned on.
Fault: Red front-panel LED illuminates when amplifier is in protect mode. Also illuminates briefly during normal power-up when amplifier is first switched on.
Bridge: Yellow LED indicates that amplifier is in bridge mode (Channels 1 and 2, Channels 3 and 4 in Xs 4300).
Temp: Red LED indicates that channel(s) are in thermal protect mode.
Input Connectors:XLR-1/4" combo connectors: One per channel, 3-pin female XLR connector and TRS 1/4" phone jack accept balanced or unbalanced signals. 3-pin Phoenix-style connectors (2-channel models only): One per channel, accepts balanced or unbalanced signals.
Input Impedance (nominal) balanced, unbalanced: 20 k ohms, 10 k ohms.
