The Aragon 2007 7-channel THX Ultra2-certified amplifier is designed to make powerful, dynamic, high-end performance affordable. The 2007 will deliver 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 300 watts per channel into 4 ohms for effortless performance from nearly any loudspeaker systems. It achieves its high 7-channel output using the fewest active components possible for a more dynamic, more powerful, and more detailed performance. As with all the amplifiers in the Aragon 2000 series, the 2007 adheres to Mondial Designs' classic minimalist approach that results not only in better sound, but in amplifiers that consistently rate among the most reliable available at any price.
Most high-end two-channel amplifiers typically employ dual mono power supply configurations. In other words, each channel operates as its own entity and only has as much output available as its power supply can provide. The Aragon 2007 uses a single power supply design called SmartPower, in which each channel could provide substantially more than its rated output for short periods of time by getting more energy from the power supply while the other channels aren't demanding as much. SmartPower enables the amplifier to perform at optimal levels in high-end 7-channel audio environments.
The Aragon 2007 features gold-plated RCA phono jack 7-channel analog inputs and insulated five-way binding post outputs for each of the speaker terminals. On the front panel, adjustable blue LED lighting further enhances the unit's overall elegance. The unit measures 17 x 9.3 x 15 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 49 pounds.
