Product Description
Amazon.com Product Description
JVC's 5.1-channel RX-6020VBK provides an affordable path to exciting stereo and home-theater audio. CDs and DVDs will sound fabulous with the receiver's 100 watts per channel power (across all five main channels). The unit also features Dolby Pro Logic II processing (which derives 5.1-channel sound from any stereo source) and 5.1-channel analog inputs (which accommodate high-resolution sources like SACD and DVD-Audio). It's a full-featured tuner, too, providing 30 FM and 15 AM station presets.
The RX-6020VBK delivers clarity, low distortion, and wide dynamic range through its discrete output devices (JVC's alternative to inexpensive ICs). In addition to standard Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1-channel surround decoding, the RX-6020VBK also offers JVC's Digital Acoustics Processing (DAP) with five preset sound fields that digitally recreate the ambient effects of different venues right in a living room.
For connections, the receiver has two composite-video inputs and outputs, multiple analog audio inputs, and two assignable digital-audio inputs (one optical, one coaxial). A line-level subwoofer output passes the LFE signal on to an independently powered subwoofer. Routing DVD player's and VCR's audio and video signals to the receiver before sending them on to your TV simplifies AV source switching, since you can do it all with the receiver's remote rather than having to switch inputs on a receiver and television.
Other conveniences include a supplied unified AV remote control and JVC's enhanced COMPU LINK Control System, which greatly simplifies operation when the receiver is used in concert with other JVC equipment.
