Amazon.com Product Description
Surround receivers by their very nature are packed with features, but they don't need to be literally large, as the Teac AG-H550 proves. Measuring only 11.19 inches across but a taller-than-usual 5.75 inches, the receiver is a nice addition to systems with narrow components, such as thin DVD and CD players. It also adds a stylish and rugged touch to your home entertainment center thanks to its 10 mm aluminum front panel. Small size and a sleek appearance aren't the receiver's only benefits, however. The AG-H550 is also outfitted with 400 watts of power (80 watts x 5) to give life and verve to your favorite movies and tunes. Plus, it comes equipped with Dolby Digital and Pro Logic surround decoders and a DTS Digital converter to cover the most common surround formats.
Other features include four DSP listening modes (theater, hall, stadium, and disco) that simulate the acoustic effects of your favorite live venues; a discrete circuit configuration that separates the audio signals for greater clarity; a 96 kHz 24-bit digital-to-analog converter; and a front-panel headphone jack for private listening. As with many surround receivers, the AG-H550 also boasts a quartz PLL-synthesized AM/FM tuner with 60 station presets (30 FM and 30 AM), along with a 90-minute sleep timer and a full-function remote control.
The AG-H550 comes with a variety of connective jacks, including three S-video inputs and one output, three composite RCA inputs and one output, five audio RCA inputs (two are switchable), three digital audio inputs (one coaxial and two optical), and two digital audio outputs (one coaxial and one optical). The receiver measures 11.19 by 5.75 by 15.5 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 20.25 pounds.
