The Northridge E Series E80 dual 6-inch floorstanding loudspeaker delivers superb audio, whether used for critical listening in a stereo system, or when combined with a Northridge E center channel, bookshelf surrounds and a subwoofer to create a home theater system.

The E80 performs like a pro, with technology developed by JBL's Professional division. Equipped with JBL's tried-and-true titanium-laminate tweeters and PolyPlas drivers, the speaker reproduces high notes with extreme clarity. The lows and mids, efficiently boosted by dual 6-inch woofers and assisted by the FreeFlow flared port, are loud and clear, without unwanted distortion or boominess. The Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal (EOS) waveguide ensures that every seat is the best in the house for sweet music and intelligible dialogue, or for just rocking out. Since the transducers were purpose-designed to work together harmoniously, JBL's simple Straight-Line Signal Path (SSP) crossover network divides the signal with minimal processing (and minimal opportunity to degrade the signal). Dual sets of sturdy gold-plated, 5-way binding posts enable bi-amping or bi-wiring. With the high, midrange and low frequencies isolated, the E80's four transducers can reproduce their frequency ranges more efficiently and with greater accuracy. The computer-designed, lock-mitred cabinet virtually eliminates distortion, and its slim European profile won't overpower your room.

The E80 is available with an attractive Black Ash, Beech or Cherry finish.

This speakers are the best speakers i ever own in my life. the sound is outstanding and the lows and highs and even mediums are truly hearable and surpasses my music proffesion. i truly recomend them by being one speaker dedicated person for over 16 years.

Granted I have not owned any really expensive speakers in my life, but I have listened to a lot. These speakers have a sub-woofer, two woofers, a midrange and a tweeter and they sound very well balanced with good separation and a lot of power. I am enjoying them very much. They make me appreciate music that is well performed and the above average singing voices. Worth the money. KB

this is my first tower speaker, it's sounds much better than 5.1 home theatre. also the old system with the subwoofer is was bothering our neighbours, this one is much more louder but nobody is complain.

Great speakers.......2006-07-06

I haven't had many audio systems and these speakers are actually the first column speakers I have had. I bought them to upgrade the shelf speakers that come with my HTR-5935 Yamaha receiver. Eventhough they both have 6.5" woofers the difference is enormous, specially the high and mid sounds where I think these speakers really shine. About the bass sounds you'll definetely need a subwoofer. Actually I see no big reason to invest in the E90 or E100 because all 3 models need a subwoofer to compensate the lack of bass. Buy these speakers, nobody can get dissapointed.
