Polk's 300-watt RTi10 floorstanding loudspeaker offers high output in a real wood enclosure for performance sound and great looks. The acoustically inert .75-inch MDF cabinet has massive asymmetric bracing ensures resonance-free enclosures for clean and accurate sound. Floating anti-diffraction grilles lift off the baffle area, minimizing grille-edge reflections for clearer sound and more open imaging. Adjustable leveling feet in an outrigger base provide stability on any type of flooring. And that's just the cabinet features.

Bass response is tighter, punchier, and more accurate thanks to two, 7-inch woofers. Combined they have the surface area of a single, large woofer, but with the low-mass and acceleration of small woofers, for a high force-to-mass ratio. Bass is further enhanced because of Polk's Power Port Plus venting technology with two ports (front and rear) and a series of internal plates. The design reduces air turbulence at the mouth of the bass port and increases bass efficiency.

Clear, detailed highs are courtesy of the 1-inch silk dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet and heat-sinked for superior heat dissipation, power handling, and reliability. Midrange is handled by a 6.5-inch polymer composite Dynamic Balance driver. Dynamic Balance technology produces flat frequency response, sharp detail, transparency and an ability to play program material with wide dynamic range at life-like volume levels without a hint of strain.

Mylar bypass capacitors are used in the crossovers, which extends high frequency response and further improves detail and transparency. Dual, five-way binding post connectors (with wide holes for large-gauge bare wire connections) allow for secure hook-ups, as well as bi-wiring and bi-amping flexibility for more advanced set ups.

The RTi10 is timbre-matched to fit into any Polk Audio home theater or multi-channel music system for a more realistic, more seamless surround sound environment. Plus, the speaker is magnetically shielded for safe placement on or near TVs and video monitors with no risk of distortion.

Just bass, no voice, no nice tweeter... you just pay for the wood.

I can't imagine if you're looking at speakers in this price range that you don't care at least moderately about how music will sound on them; it sounds BAD. I was looking to upgrade my 75 wpc Onkyo amp and beginner Infinity 5.1 surround speakers with something that would actually sound GOOD for music. I got a 105 wpc Onkyo amp and these rti10s from Crutchfield. I'm returning them all, at a loss of over $200 to me in shipping and box replacement. Why?

The RTi10s, at low, have a conversation while listening to music volume, sounded worse than my Bose Wave Radio- no seperation, muddy, etc. Turn them up and the power is there- to a certain volume- but the warmth and naturalness of music is never achieved. I was pretty surprised. And then I was in denial. I have decided to come out of my denial before my return date is over with Crutchfield, save my money, and go hear some decent speakers at hi end audio shops. If you can drop $1000 on a pair of speakers that sound this bad, you can drop a little more or less on pair that will do music a little bit of justice. Grudgingly, they didn't sound too bad for tv and sports. (except when music came on!)

All I'm saying is---- they're not worth it!!! You've been warned.

These speakers are awesome looking, and awesome sounding. I own 4 different pair of polk audio speakers. One set being a satellite system which are ok, one set of older floor models which sound good, one pair of large bookshelf speakers which also sound ok, but these suckers sound down right incredible. I have to say they are the best sounding speakers I have ever owned. These speakers give crisp clear highs, solid and full midrange, and deep bass, everything you want out of a floor model speaker. I hear things in songs I never knew were there before. Before you buy any other speaker do yourself a favor and give the RTi10 a listen, you will surely be blown away. Two thumbs up to Polk for building such an awesome sounding and awesome looking speaker...
