For use in either a two-channel audio system or as one of a pair of front channel speakers for a complete surround system, the Klipsch SF-1 makes efficient use of its smaller size (compared to other Synergy series floorstanding speakers) and its single woofer. It has a magnetically shielded, 6.5-inch graphite-injected woofer and a 1-inch aluminum diaphragm compression driver coupled to a Klipsch 5-inch square Tractrix Horn, creating realistic spatial imaging and smooth, uncolored sound reproduction. A large, flared port extends the SF1's deep, authoritative bass without turbulence, noise or dynamic compression.
It also features a floating grille design, which minimizes image-impairing sonic reflections. This floorstanding speaker can be matched with the SC-1 center-channel and SS-1 surround sound speakers.

All models feature cloth grilles, with the floor standing models distinguished by a "floating grille' design. This suspended grille works to minimize sonic reflections - a feature that benefits form as well as function.Rounding out the floor standing models, the SF-1 provides a wide, deep soundstage and exceptional imaging.
