This system is very inexpensive, for decent sound quality. If you are a wealthy person looking for a $2,000 home theater system for huge house, then don't buy this. But if you are looking for a system that sounds great in an average size home for a few hundred dollars, this is the way to go. I had one of those $400 systems from Sony, then UPGRADED to this Theater Research system and was very satisfied. The sound was better and the price was much less. Hope this helps.

Ok, I must start off by saying Theater Research is by NO means the high quality stuff that is claimed. Their suggested prices are VERY inflated.....BUT on the flip side, I will say that for the RIGHT price, they can be a good deal. I paid $200 for a 6.1 system from the "White Van Scam" and for that $200 I must say I am impressed with the sound. Sure, they do not sound like a Polk, or Boston system but then again I paid $200!!! Anyway, I just thought I would put the word out that YES they are a "lower end" speaker, but if you can get them for under $300 I think you have a good deal.
