The Polk Audio Atrium 60 All Weather Speaker is built to withstand the elements as it delivers years of great performance. The Atrium 60's patented port-venting technology delivers high efficiency and extraordinary bass response in a modest cabinet size. The Polk Atrium 60 utilizes a 6.5-inch mineral-composite polymer cone with butyl-rubber surround for superior bass and midrange response, as well as a one-inch titanium dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet that delivers exceptional accuracy.
Constructed with all stainless steel and brass hardware, and an aluminum bracket and grille, this unit will provide you with years of rustproof reliability, allowing you to deploy the best possible sound in the widest variety of locations. The Atrium 60 meets or exceeds ASTM D5894-Salt Fog, Mil Standard 810 Immersion and Mil Standard 883 MEthod 1009 8 for salt and corrosion tests, and includes five-way binding posts for more secure hook-up options. Built with a sleek white finish and rugged enough for use practically anywhere, the Polk Atrium 60 is a great introduction to high-performance sound.

Polk Atrium 60's rule.......2007-06-08
I bought this speaker after several days of searching and reading and am so glad I did. I have Polk home theatre speakers and enjoy them, so I figured they made good outdoor products as well. I have them mounted in a weather exposed part of the house (not under the eave as recommended) so the mil spec water proof enclosure was a must. The speakers are crisp, and clear with distinct definition between highs, mids, and lows. I have them powered by a Denon AVR4800 and would highly recommend them. They are considerably larger than the picture seems to represent, but nonetheless a great speaker for the great outdoors.
DO NOT BUY THESE SPEAKERS!!!!.......2007-05-09
Do not buy these speakers!!! The grills will not stay on them. I found out after the 30 day return period (I bought them in March and did not put them up until April) so now I am stuck with them. There is no way to permanently affix the grills and when the speakers expand in the heat, the grills fall off. Save yourself the headache and DO NOT BUY THESE SPEAKERS.
