Built-in high current amplifiers supply all the good, clean power you need for big bass. The amplifier features adjustable low-pass crossover, phase switch and subwoofer volume control to more easily control your bass output and the sub's blending characteristics with your front stage speakers.

Great sound at a good price.......2007-06-27

I'm not an audiophile by any means but I like my music to sound good. My system consists of NAD power and ADS speakers, and it sounded pretty good to begin with. I decided (from my room size and reading reviews) to go with the PSW 12 rather than the 10" model and I'm glad I did. It enhances the system at all volume levels and really helps hit bottom cleanly without distortion or muddy sound. It's also very versatile with its input signal options; I use lines from the amp's speaker output. The output level adjustment is great for fine tailoring and tuning the sub to your system.

I've had the sub for about four months and we're still having the honeymoon. I can recommend this unit without reservation.

Totally natural sound, no bottoming, no boom. A great value for the size of the speaker and the simplicity of installation, operation. Highly rated as no-nonsense enhancement of any sound configuration needing a sub-woofer.

Subs make a difference!.......2007-06-13

I have had some Infinity bookshelf speakers for years which I have loved and thought that I would only use this subwoofer for movies. Wow, was I wrong. It adds depth to all types of music as well as power to any movie - not just action movies, but the music on even the chick flicks is better by far. Very good buy here. Polk Audio makes a quality product! Three months of ownership and enjoying it every day.

Good sound quality and volumn for average home theatre. Can not beat it at this price. It is a upper mid range class subwoofer. If you are demanding and willing to pay 2X to 3X the price, there are other alternatives.

Great, tight bass. Not too boomy, but still powerful. You can't get much better for the price.
