The unique shape of the die-cast alloy cabinets delivers a pure and potent sound -whether you're watching the latest DVD release, enjoying your favorite CDs, or just relaxing in front of the TV. Unlike many current loudspeaker packages, Genie employs a dedicated centre speaker to cope with the different acoustic demands of Home Theatre. The symmetrical D'Appolito (woofer-tweeter-woofer) configuration, is specially voiced for dialogue and optimized for central positioning. The 404 is also magnetically shielded which means it can be placed close to (even on top of) a TV and other sources without interference. Mordaunt-Short has been designing and manufacturing loudspeakers for more than thirty years. Naturally, we have seen a great many changes in that time.
