Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Great vocal warmup, especially of breath control, with unique syllabic exercises!.......2007-06-17

I am a piano teacher who also teaches voice, and this CD has been a lifesaver for me, it has helped improve problems with my voice students that
common popular exercises have failed to achieve. The breath control exercises especially have been an enormous help, and my students find them
not only challenging but fun as well. The warmup exercises are a little unique, bringing in tweet, hweet, and unique ways to improve sound production with exercises that combine air production with compression against the lips and teeth. The exercises as a whole help students with the lower register as well as the upper, and effectively improve power without yelling. A great program, I highly recommend!

5 out of 5 stars Enjoyment.......2007-05-20

I haven't had the opportunity to review it for myself. However, my niece in california was so excited to receive this. She said she's enjoying it. She's working on her vocals daily.

5 out of 5 stars great service.......2007-05-13

Came really quickly and just in time! I needed some help warming up for an early morning service I had to sing for and I was hoarse. this really helped.

4 out of 5 stars Good tool.......2007-05-12

I find this material very useful. The teacher makes it feel like you are in actual face to face voice lessons. Technically acceptable.

5 out of 5 stars GREAT INVESTMENT.......2007-03-09

IT COVERS THE BASICS AND THAT'S PERFECT FOR ME. IF YOU ARE MORE ADVANCED AND HAVE HAD PRIOR VOICE LESSONS YOU MAY FIND THIS TO BE TOO SIMPLE TECHNIQUES. I ENJOYED FOLLOWING THE EXERCISES AND REPATING THEM. I WILL DEFINATELY BUY THE NEXT VOLUME. [...]

5 out of 5 stars Absolutely LOVE Paramore !.......2007-06-09

Hayley is just soooooo good.
And the band is rockin'hard no doubt about it. I'm wearing out this CD,
and can't wait for Riot to be released! Just gotta see em live.........

5 out of 5 stars AMAZING.......2007-04-08

First of all, STOP MAKING IT SEEM LIKE HAYLEY IS THE ONLY REASON THE BAND IS SUCCESSFUL! Yes, she's gorgeous and she has a great voice, but josh and she write the songs together, zac is a passionate drum player, jeremy rocks on bass and Josh is an amazing guitar player.

This album may not be the best in the world, but it's worth buying. It's the first album made by a young band, with another one coming out on June 12 (WHICH I CANNOT WAIT FOR!!)

Many of the songs do have the same sound, but the lyrics and drums really set them apart from each other. My favorite tracks are Franklin and My Heart.

And some of you complain 'oh, they just entered the emo scene' when that's not it at all. They've specifically asked for people to NOT call them emo, and they really do try to set themselves apart from other bands.

For instance, if you listened to their new single off of RIOT! (the album coming out on june 12)called Born For This, you'd be amazed at how different they sound. They try to give as much as they can to their fans, six of them helping with the back up vocals in this song.
Heck, they even hired a mariachi band for one of their songs, and THAT'S stepping out of the box.

These four people are definitely getting somewhere, and I would highly suggest buying this album, along with the Summer Tic EP and RIOT!

2 out of 5 stars Come On.......2007-04-07

Decent voice and a decent overall sound but this album misses on many fronts. Poor debut but I hope they can pull it together on their next release as they have potential.

5 out of 5 stars I FREAKIN LOVE IT!!!.......2007-04-04

this CD is really good...some of these tracks are real emotional and others like "Whoa" are really fun to rock out too....one of the best CD's i own

5 out of 5 stars One of the strongest efforts out of Fueled By Ramen...........2007-03-15

If you enjoy similar artists such as The Hush Sound, Flyleaf, and even Avril Lavigne, you'll find this album enjoyable to listen to. Emergency and Pressure obviously stand out as some of the band's stronger tracks on the album. All We Know is also a highly popular track. The band's overall sound is pretty consistent throughout the entire album, and often reflects a sound similar to the Chicago-based band The Hush Sound, but with a more heavier, harder quality. Paramore is one of the few newer post-punk/emo bands to produce a catchy album that is strong from start to finish. The Summer Tic EP (2006) also features memorable tracks from the band such as Emergency (Crab Mix) and "Stuck On You," which is a cover of a song by Failure. All We Know Is Falling is certainly an album worth checking out.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars 25 Piano Favorites.......2007-01-09

This is my favorite classical CD since it is geared to a wide audience. Many of my friends and acquaintances enjoy it, too.

3 out of 5 stars Good for the price............2005-11-30

I listen to this CD while reading or when I need inspiration to play the piano. There are many classic pieces here that will have many recognizable sections to the non classical music fans. The sound quality is not amazing but the essence and technical difficulty of these pieces can still be heard. Most of the songs are under 5 mins and there is a mix of faster and slower tempos.

This is a bargain bin CD that you usually see at Fry's Electronics. There are more detailed and comprehensive collections out there but for 5 bucks this isn't bad and you basically get what you expect. There are much better classical CD's out there of course but for a beginner compilation album, this one has a great price.

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful relaxing and soothing music.......2005-09-02

This cd of piano classics has become one of my favorites. Since I am a full-time student and work out of my home the music relaxes me during times of rest.

2 out of 5 stars The Sound Quality Really Bugs Me.......2004-08-26

This is a good intro CD to famous piano pieces. However, the sound quality is really *poor*. Of course, what do you expect for the price? I'm sure there are better Piano Sample CDs out there that sound much better. It's worth the extra money, trust me.

3 out of 5 stars Good Disc for the Price.......2004-01-19

A good compilation of excerpts from the rich and vast piano repertoire. Sure they are merely excerpts and are meant to just introduce the piano to someone unfamiliar with the instrument or classical music, but that doesn't mean that an experienced person can't just pop it into the CD player and enjoy.

While there's no classic recordings here or big names, most of the tracks are well played and acceptable in sound quality. There are some interesting pieces here that are unfamiliar to most, such as the Dvorak Humoresque or the Paderewski Minuet, as well as classics such as the Debussy Clair de Lune or the Mozart Concerto.

The rendition of the Rhapsody in Blue is a nice performance with a well done ending that may even be better than some other CD's made by big named pianists.

A companion to the fabulous PBS series, the 21-song, 77-minute The Best of "Broadway: The American Musical" provides about as good a single-disc compilation as anyone could hope for. (There's also a five-CD version.) What sets it apart from so many other "best of Broadway" collections is its breadth--because it had access to a variety of record-label vaults it doesn't have to try to disguise gaps by using revivals or solo recordings. Here you get all the authentic stuff, including: Paul Robeson singing "Ol' Man River" from the first modern American musical, Show Boat; Ethel Merman singing "You're the Top"; the title song from Oklahoma!; Julie Andrews singing "I Could Have Danced All Night" from My Fair Lady; West Side Story's "America"; Betty Buckley singing "Memory" from Cats; Hairspray's "Good Morning Baltimore"; and "Defying Gravity" from Wicked, the newest show discussed in the PBS series. And it's hard to argue with the songwriters represented: Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern, Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Frank Loesser, Lerner and Loewe, Leonard Bernstein, Bock and Harnick, Kander and Ebb, Stephen Sondheim, and Andrew Lloyd Webber, among others. Obviously, no single-disc compilation could ever please everyone (did we really need two ALW songs?), but as a sampler intended for people who watched the series and want to hear more of the Great White Way, The Best of "Broadway: The American Musical" can't be topped. --David Horiuchi

Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Some interesting choices, indeed.......2006-03-02

This is a pretty good compilation, but I have to wonder at some of the choices that went into it.
"Good Morning Baltimore" is almost the least impressive song from Hairspray. "You Can't Stop the Beat" was a much more anthemic song from that show.
I agree that it's too bad Les Mis didn't make it in. I would have traded that for anything Sondheim, although that's a personal preference :) .
Still, the opportunity to hear the original performers and orchestras perform these works, all in one place, is a great deal.

5 out of 5 stars Great CD.......2005-11-01

This one plays in the car, on the ipod and in the house. When the kids were little they would ask if we could take them to "The Street". That is what they called Broadway (little did they know at that time how famous that street is). They still love it and we can not get enough of it. This CD covers the best and makes you want to go and see a live performance. You can not beat that.

4 out of 5 stars Great selections, but bad transfers.......2005-07-27

This is a great taste of broadway. If you enjoyed the B'Way series at all, then you will probably enjoy this CD. My problem with it is that some of the songs sound like they were not remastered at all- the transfer to CD is terrible. The orchestrations in "You're the top" by Ethel Merman are muffled, and the song sounds like it was taken straight from an old record and slapped onto the CD without fixing it up. It doesn't sound very clear, which is a bit upsetting and annoying. Maybe this is just because that particular recording is older than some of the songs chosen to be on this CD. The more modern songs sound crisp and new and beautiful. "Swanee" is also very low quality as if it were just taken off of a record and put on the CD without any restoration. I just feel that these songs deserved better treatment and that we as customers deserve better treatment. Decca could have restored these songs and made them sound really good, but they decided just to slap them on the CD without touching them up.

I am surprised that nothing was chosen to be on this recording from Les Miserables since it had been on Broadway for 16 years and its tour is running until 2006. There were selections from Cats, Phantom of the Opera and Wicked, so I am not sure why nothing was chosen from Les Miserables.

Other than these few nit pickings, I think that this is a great introduction to musicals. It gives a little taste across the spectrum. Try getting the cast recordings of the songs that you really like on this collection. It's worth buying if you're a huge broadway fan.

5 out of 5 stars Yes this is Some of the Best of Broadway!.......2005-04-08

This CD from Decca Broadway is a wonderful selection of some of

the "Greatest Hits" of the Broadway stage. Decca and Sony have

done an excellent job of remastering the various recordings, some

of which still show some of their age, but come across quite

well. Are there a lot of songs that I would have put on this

disc? Yes, but the ones on here are good choices. I may have to

get a copy of the Five disc set and the DVD's just to see if any

more of my favorites made it on the list. What this disc seems to

try to do is show the evolution of the Broadway song from it's

early days to the present. It succeeds quite well I think.

If you enjoy Broadway theater this CD is a must!

5 out of 5 stars The music of Broadway comes alive.......2004-10-07

I loved listening to this CD. The music from Broadway's best loved musicals are on this album. I recogized most of these songs, even though I've only seen a few of them on the local stage. I have so many favorites on this CD. It is hard to pick one. I'm a big fan of Barbara Streisand. I loved her performance of People from Funny Girl. Memory is the hit song from the musical Cats. Betty Buckley's performance of this song is so emotional and sincere.

I loved the song Annie. It is a wonderfully optimistic song performed by the original Annie Andrea McArdle. Another highlight for me is the song One performed by the cast of a Chorus Line. Luck Be A Lady Tonight is another of my favorite broadway songs on this CD from Guys and Dolls. The music of the night is a beautiful song by Michael Crawford from Phantom of the Opera. Richard Kiley has such a strong and powerful voice. He sounds so inspirational singing The Impossible Dream from Man from La Mancha. My dream is to see some musicals on Broadway someday and listen to these songs performed live.

I'm surprised that there isn't any music from Miss Saigon or Jesus Christ Superstar included here. I think they are classic musicals with great songs Maybe they will appear on a future compilation from PBS.

4 out of 5 stars Wonderful, but not my first choice.......2007-04-07

I believe this was the first recording of Elijah in English that used an "international" conductor and some international singers. Fruhbeck gives a good, dramatic sweep to the piece, with some wonderful dramatic moments. This is an old fashioned performance, with only a solo quartet, and if there is a semi-chorus, I can't tell the difference. This means that the soprano is the Widow, and an Angel, the mezzo the Angel and Queen Jezabel, etc. You really should have a libretto, but you don't get one at this price.
Fischer-Dieskau roughens up his voice for the role, and therein lies a problem. The voice spreads and his diction suffers because of it; that and his unidiomatic pronounciation, with far too many rolled "r"s. He does the drama well, but what works well in lieder works here less well on the large scale. Odd, given his success as on opera singer (check out his Iago), that here he frequently comes off blustery.
Dame Gwyneth Jones belies her reputation and gives a contolled, dramatic performance, using her "edge" to advantage in "Hear Ye, Israel". Gedda's diction is amazing, with exactly the right color for this literature, and projecting a little more blood than an English tenor.
Dame Janet Baker is my star in this performance. Dramatic, heart-rending when need be, and in wonderful voice. She'll chill your blood when she tells the people of Baal to "slaughter him, do what he hath done!".
And as for the people of Baal, the Philharmonia Chorus is wonderful. Incisive and dramatic, with beautiful tone. I could do without the trick of the boy choir for "Lift Thine Eyes", and I miss the small ensembles, but all in all a fine performance, and good recording, circa 1968.
First choice in English, Daniels/Terfel: better Elijah in Terfel, better recording, more authentic orchestra, small vocal ensembles (as per the score) but inferior women (including Fleming: beautiful tone, but where's her head?). In German, it's Sawallisch/Adam all the way.
But if you're singing Elijah, and have a score, this is a good choice.

5 out of 5 stars THE BEST recording of the BEST oratorio ever..........2006-08-15

Okay, I'm gonna admit I'm biased- I first sung in the chorus of Elijah when I was 14 and it made a BIG impression on me!
This recording is in every way wonderful. Starting with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau. He IS Elijah to me. His singing is perfection. He has amazing phrasing and his diction makes it possible to understand the lovely, inspired libretto to this heavenly music. There are so many pieces that are ephemeral, but a couple of my favorites are: #14, Lord God of Abraham and #37, For the Mountains shall Depart. Dieskau does a great job of what I think of as compassionate, heartfelt singing. His interpretation sounds like the voice of God himself. It has a quality of kindness and yet he sounds just as convincing reprimanding the people of Baal. He is the true highlight of this recording.

That said, the rest of the cast is wonderful as well. Gwyneth Jones has a lovely, silvery voice that has a clarion bell-like tone that rings over the large orchestra with ease. She has occasional "misfire" but is a consistent performer. Dame Janet Baker and Nicolai Gedda both perform at a consistently lovely level. The orchestra and chorus are both wonderful. #15, Cast thy Burden upon the Lord, #32 He that Shall Endure to the End, and #38 Then Did Elijah are all highlights.

All said, for me the main reason to get this recording is Dieskau's Elijah- after all, he's the main character. But don't forget the lovely music. This story is exciting and passionate and sacred all at the same time. For me, it's the best oratorio that has a moving story and great music too.

4 out of 5 stars Too bad there are so few recordings of Elijah.......2006-07-03

This is a good recording of an oratorio that deserves more attention. The chorus and soloists are very good--I just wish Fischer-Diskau wouldn't slide around so much in singing the title part!

4 out of 5 stars Karaoke music.......2007-02-11

I bought this CD because it had so many great songs of Carrie Underwood. I was learning them all. This was All Star Karaoke. I had heard of them but wasn't sure of the quality of music. I usually buy Sound Choice. That is to me the best but this actually has a pretty good sound to it. When you buy online you are taking a chance cause you can't always listen before buying. What I liked about this Cd is this that the music & words were very close to the original songs. It has background vocals, very important. I try to buy cd's where the words & music as well as the arrangement of the song is a close to the original as possible. Bought a Cd once that when I went to sing the next part of the song it wasn't there. They put in a instrumental where your'e supposed to sing. This cd has a great selection of Carrie's hits & has a qauality sound. Also a great price for what I got. Thank you.

My daughter needed this cd for a school audition. Of course the local stores were sold out with it being right after the Christmas holidays and lucky for us we found it here. It was a last minute order but the cd arrived in time and my daughter's audition went great. She was selected to sing one of the songs from the cd for the JROTC military ball which just so happens to be this weekend. Thank you so much for having the product available and to everyone who helped it reach it's destination in time. You are all awesome!

5 out of 5 stars Fabulous for any Broadway-lover.......2007-01-30

Packs into 5 CD's a sampling of Broadway tunes from the 20's thru (almost) today, mostly from original cast recordings. Includes not just well-known hits, but also some lesser-known gems. Sound quality is first rate, booklet is informative too. Have given this as a gift to several friends with rave reviews.

5 out of 5 stars Top Shelf.......2007-01-04

This is THE definitive collection of Broadway hits. I have other collections, and none of them measure up. A great deal of care was obviously taken in compiling and presenting this box set. It covers a lot of ground, starting with some long-forgotten but still very enjoyable hits from the days of yore, and finishing with present-day favorites. To the best of my knowledge, the recordings are by those who made them famous. You won't be disappointed.

5 out of 5 stars TERRIFIC CD'S.......2006-03-23

The Music is great and has Broadways greatest treasures like "Memory""People""With One Look""Give my regards Too Broadway" just to name a few of this numerous cd set with over 100 songs. This is a great buy if you like musicals or The music of Broadway

5 out of 5 stars Great Compilation!.......2005-01-17

If you are a fan of the Broadway Musicals, this is a collection that you should purchase. Since I got the 5 disc set I've enjoyed listening to it. The majority of the songs are done by the original singers. The collection is priceless considering that you will have over 100 songs from popular musicals since the beginning of Broadway

After Scott La Rock's death, KRS-One (a.k.a. Kris Parker) carried on the BDP name with this mammoth album and its uneasy balance between violence and nonviolence, jazz beats and hard-core hip-hop, the pride of boasting and the pride of the teacher he was trying to become. It leads off with KRS's declaration of "My Philosophy"--as philosophy, it was a little inconsistent, but at least it was something, and "Stop the Violence" cuts deep both as philosophy and as a superheavy reggae groove. Kris is funny, too--"Jimmy" introduced a deathless euphemism to the language--but he's mostly concerned here with demonstrating his supremacy ("I'm Still #1"), memorializing his partner, and charting his own growth from a maverick to a leader. --Douglas Wolk

5 out of 5 stars Classic 2nd album from Hip-Hop's Teacher!.......2007-06-04

By All Means Necessary
"Fresh! For 1988, you suckers!" was the signature line from "My Philosophy", the first single off Boogie Down Productions' masterpiece second LP, By All Means Necessary. In the interim between their debut on 1987's Criminal Minded and the summer release of By All Means, founding member DJ Scott La Rock was tragically murdered. Frontman KRS-One soldiered on, bringing junior member D-Nice and KRS's brother Kenny Parker into the mix as turntable operators.

Produced by the artist and engineered by Ivan "Doc" Rodriguez, KRS-One maintains the momentum of Criminal Minded with streetwise battle raps, but he incorporates more narratives about ghetto lifestyles and the dangers of street violence. The lyrics to "I'm Still #1" are loosely based on a rhyme contest between KRS and rap legend Melle Mel at NYC's Latin Quarters. "Illegal Business" dismisses the easy targets of the "War on Drugs" policy, making the point that the illegal drug trade is not divorced from the American economy. "Jimmy" makes a case for safe sex, and could be considered a sequel to "Super-hoe". The reggae shuffle of "Stop the Violence" of course features the unforgettable hook, "1, 2, 3, the crew is called BDP, and if you want to go to the tip-top, stop the violence in hip-hop, why-oh!"

The most surprisingly enjoyable song is "Ya Slippin'": "So assume you're doomed when you step in the room; I'll be the witch and you'll be the broom.." taunts KRS, as he rhymes over Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water" guitar riff combined with his own, slowed-down "Poetry" rhythm track. "Necessary" is a sonically-sparse nod to spoken word poetry at the end of the LP, a first for rap albums. This album could be re-released with remixes (such as an alternate take of "I'm Still #1"), and perhaps even a drum-&-bass remix of "Necessary" that surfaced in the late 90's.

5 out of 5 stars by all means liston to this cd!!.......2006-11-04

this record along with several others at the time advanced hip-hop to another level. if anyone who is a lyricist wishes to learn how to construct rhymes and make it listenable to the audience, grab the teacher!

4 out of 5 stars BDP IN FULL EFFECT.......2006-10-12

Yo Im a old schooler to the heart and this album you should have in your old school rap collection. "My Philosophy" is the one jam I remember playing on the radio back in Chicago 1988 and it blew my mind. The beat and the lyrics and the way KRS-ONE flows on this track is unbelievable. "Stop the Violence" was another that would get major air time, but my personal favorite was Illegal Business.

5 out of 5 stars Classic Blastmaster KRS1 - "So you're a philosopher?".......2006-09-22

Another Banger from one of the greatest years in hiphop "1988". Kris drops science like no other on this one. This still bangs today almost 20 years later. I can't wait till Kris says "Fresh for 2008!" You SUCKAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

5 out of 5 stars "My Philosophy".......2006-08-31

This track alone is worth 5 stars. The rest of the album is ok. But believe me when you LISTEN to the track, and how it applies to todays "illusion" of hip-hop its amazing how this 20yr old track is still kicking knowledge before you were in diapers. A must have for all hip-hop enthusiast.

Customer Reviews:

2 out of 5 stars Another opinion.......2006-06-14

I absolutely love Deva Premal's voice and CDs. This was a huge disappointment for me. I don't like almost everything on this CD. There's nothing remarkable about Miten's voice, even though it's certainly nice to listen to. His lyrics are banal. Sweet and heartfelt, but hackneyed.
There's nothing really bad about the music, but most of it is Miten by himself (the ones with Deva are far better, to my ear), and I honestly can't find anything to recommend it.
I only gave it two stars for the few songs that are predominantly Deva's voice.
As much as I am dissing this CD I wouldn't hesitate to recommend "Love is Space." So, if you're expecting something along those lines, don't get this as it's totally different.

5 out of 5 stars The most beautiful CD to celebrate committed partnerships!.......2006-05-20

My girlfriend introduced this cd to me, and I have to say, I'm almost as much in love with this music as I am with her :) !!! It's a 'must have' for any couples who are truly committed to growing healthy partnerships of love. It celebrates the beauty that is at the heart of each one of us and gives such wonderful reverential acknowledgment to the divinity in all.
We've already decided that this will be the music we will choose for our wedding as we shared our first dance to the magnificent sentiments expressed in song by Miten and Deva Premal.
You won't be disappointed!!!!

5 out of 5 stars Wear your Mitens!.......2003-11-11

This is a CD made with love. Seriously, you can smell love. What does love smell like? I don't know. So stop asking. I honestly don't see how they can do it. Its magic. When I listen to this CD I feel like I am being held. I am not a lonely person. Believe me when I tell you, I am not. OK. Maybe sometimes.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars So soothing.......2007-01-14

I keep this in the car and we often listen to it on the way home from day-care in the evening -- it's very soothing, great winding-down music, but still fun and something you can sing to. I love it, and find myself listening to it even when I'm kid-free. Someone to Watch Over Me is incredible, and who would have ever thought that Mickey Mouse Club march could be a lullaby? It works. Lots of kids' music is barely tolerable to me. This is not merely tolerable, I actually really enjoy it. Love the Nicky's Jazz 4 kids cd, too.

5 out of 5 stars Not a night without it!.......2006-08-22

This CD was the best thing that ever happened to our bedtime routine. Ever since our daughter was born, we've had the pleasure of listening to these beautiful songs almost every night and we never get tired of them. Our daughter, now two and a half, continues to request "Piggy" over and over again, and thanks to Nicky, she already appreciates the magic of jazz.

We also love Nicky's Jazz for Kids. Hearing her sing Kee-Mo Ky-Mo is a refreshing change from Old McDonald!

5 out of 5 stars Best Lullaby CD ever!.......2006-08-05

I never write these reviews. I just had to let everyone know how much I love this CD. I look forward to putting the baby to bed every night so that we can listen to it. I just wish it were longer and had more songs.

5 out of 5 stars Nicky's Lullabies and companion book Baby Cat Nicky 123 are charming! .......2006-02-06

Although we are a little past childbearing years, grown-up children from our and friends' families are having babies of their own. What can we give them that is beautiful, worthwhile, AND distinctive? Carol Friedman's latest additions to her "Nicky the Jazz Cat" collection are absolutely perfect gifts for a spectrum of occasions - showers, birthdays, holidays, or "just because." Created as a prequel to the award-winning "Nicky the Jazz Cat" originals, "Nicky's Jazz Lullabies" and the introductory counting book "Baby Cat Nicky 123" are just as charmingly and thoughtfully conceived for very young children. Three preschool teacher friends have raved about the suitability and creativity of these new items. The colors and graphic design, the perky appeal of the kitten, and the clever use of simple rhymed wording in "Baby Cat Nicky 123" promise repeat readings. The tender, gentle nature of the musical selections rendered by distinguished jazz artists on "Nicky's Jazz Lullabies" assures that wee listeners' dreams will indeed be sweet. Carol Friedman deserves a place in the pantheon of contemporary children's literary VIPs for sharing memories of a beloved pet as well as honoring jazz artists who have contributed so generously to America's unique musical genre.
