When I first heard the cd I was amazed on how good some of the tracks really were. Almost straight out of a Los Angeles pop/rock en espanol night club. Something I love. I can honestly say that this cd has 5 solid tracks on it that will either make you raise the volume really high or just dance.

If you are looking for some latin pop dance music, this cd is for you. I like all the songs on this cd. I can listen to it over and over again. It is good even if you are not fluent in spanish. Honestly, it is the best cd I own.

Very high energy, euro type spanish pop, good for the feet and the hips. Does wonders for the dance floor.

20 songs (not counting the irrelevant intro by "D.J. Alex Perez") in under 57 minutes? Consider yourself warned: most of the songs (except the ones by nobodies like "Zar") are edited down to two- or three-minute snippets. "Bailando" for instance only clocks in at 2:03. OK for parties but if you like the songs (and that's why you're thinking about buying this, right?) just remember this CD doesn't give you the whole enchilada.

The CD also brags about having "video of the hottest Latin dance clubs." Having watched the video, I can say the only way this claim could be true is if 1) It was filmed on a July afternoon and 2) They turned off the AC.

    The '50s saw the beginning of "third stream music," whereby musicians attempted to fuse jazz and classical music into a viable synthesis. More often than not, either or both were diluted, but sometimes successful, colorful, movielike music resulted. On this live date, Lalo Schifrin (of Mission: Impossible TV fame) employs the WDR Rundfunkorchester of Cologne and the jazz talents of Christian McBride (bass), David Sanchez (tenor sax), and Jeff Williams (drums) to create a textural and cohesive whole. Lush strings and punctuating brass frame numerous solo sections where Sanchez and trumpeter James Morrison shine. Schifrin's expansive orchestral scores make effective use of jazz rhythms, particularly on arrangements of Coltrane's "Naima" and Alex North's "Theme from Spartacus," creating a wholly engaging and cinematic third-stream experience. --Wally Shoup

          This, like it's preceeding sibling, is phenomenal. Living close to the Mexican border, I'd frequent the clubs for their ecentric style of music, beats, and sounds, a sensation never before felt, until these two cds were released.

          Beautiful, perfect mixes, and after hearing the first, I didn't hesitate not buying the second volume without even listening to it's contents, not to mention knowing only three of the artist on the disk. All of these song were and still are great Spanish club hits and mixed like I"d never heard before, but like I'd known, I was not disappointed, and neither will any one else purchasing this little piece of Mexico.

            By itself, Ismael Rivera's superb rendition of the classic "Bilongo" justifies buying this CD. Why? It was Ismael's final studio recording and features such luminaries as Justo Betancourt, Cheo Feliciano, Hector Lavoe and Pete "Conde" Rodriguez as background singers. The entire album is quite good but "Bilongo" is your real reason for buying this CD.
