Richly textured music.......2005-06-08
This is an incredible album that I appreciate more and more as time goes by. I bought this speculatively about when it released based on his Cool Blue Halo album and the single Number With Wings. This album is much more creative and thought provoking in my opinion.
There really aren't many albums like this for me, combining variety and quality of tracks, and pure talent by Mr. Barone.
You must listen to "I'll Be Your Mirror", opening with the cello its a very moving piece.

Richard Barone is talent personified! He writes his songs and performs them and OWNS his music. The music itself is catchy and the lyrics complement the arrangement. This is a great CD to put in and go for a drive.
An overlooked classic.......2005-01-05
This album was the first I'd heard of Richard Barone and I've been following his (under-exposed) career ever since. This is one of those artists I CAN'T PRAISE HIGHLY ENOUGH. There really is no one better, IMHO. He follows his own muse, is true to himself, writes amazing lyrics and takes you on a very personal, highly emotional journey into his own dynamic and idiosyncratic universe. A CLASSIC waiting to be discovered by you and the general public.
