Poor Alex Chilton. So many offspring, so little money. This is a great, great record, don't get me wrong. I went f'ing nuts when I first heard it, I always wanted a new Big Star record for Christmas. Thank you Andy Bopp, you were up to a task none should have dared. You are my hero.

Channelling the ghosts of late-period Beatles, Badfinger and Big Star with almost eerie accuracy, Myracle Brah's debut captures the sound and spirit of the classic power-pop era to perfection. Where Andy Bopp's work with Love Nut absorbs the influences of hard rock and punk, this solo project feels directly beamed in from sometime in 1972, as though the subsequent quarter century never even happened. What the record lacks in originality, it more than makes up for in pure charm - a gifted songwriter, Bopp stuffs Life on Planet Eartsnop with no less than 20 tracks, each of them dead-on evocations of an era long gone by and rarely recalled quite so effectively or affectionately. - Jason Ankeny, AMG

If Andy Bopp was born in the fifties whe named him now in one breath together with The Kinks, The Stones and The Beatles. But Andy was born later (for his own reason I guess)so it's lonely at the retro top for him.This guy records his songs like the early days:no fancy producers,sometimes a second voice when its nescesary,(so there are much second voices left over for us...wich I think is always a gift from the heart of the composer...Thanks, mr Bopp),raw and straight from the heart,Guitar,Bass and Drums and a Golden Voice wich you can easely handle in the early morning!Thanks Myracle Andy and I hope you'll play sometimes in Amsterdam!

Flirts with perfection.......2001-05-06

Any fan of true power pop (Beatles, The Kinks, Big Star, Badfinger, Cheap Trick, The Records, The Posies, Teenage Fanclub, Matthew Sweet) should immediately drop everything and pick this up. It's easily one of the best albums of the 1990s and will hold up for years to come. Andy Bopp is a songwriter extraordinaire, with tunes like "Whisper Softly"(two minutes of pure heaven), "I'm In Love", "She's So Young", and "Carry On The Lie" rivalling the works of any of the previously mentioned masters. I'm baffled by the fact that Andy Bopp is not ruling the charts as a result of this work. There's no justice in this world. Go buy this, help make his royalty check a bit larger, and help right one of the wrongs in the world of pop music.

A group like Myracle Brah comes out every 5-10 years, and when they do grab everything you can get your hands on. THIS is the kind of music that should be played on Top 40, but they didnt even glance at it! WAKE UP TOP 40!. How a group like MB can be ignored is beyond my understanding.

Most Beatles,Badfinger even Big Star fans will love this CD, Andy Bopp even has a Lennon,Pete Ham and Harrison sound to his voice, with George Harrison and The Byrds type guitars.

You may have also heard Andy Bopps other group "Love Nut" Their second CD was in some ways almost as good as this one here, maybe even better in some areas. Actually Love Nut was his first group of his, then MBrah became his side project, well, it seems the side project has become the main group and Love Nut is no longer (not sure) recording.

As for "Life On Planet Eartsnop"? You'll like it so much you'll want it by your side at all times, because those songs we'll be playing in your head, at work, when your shopping,driving, whatever. Packed with 20 songs!

The highlights of this CD, "Action Reaction",(Sounds like the Who meets G.Harrison) "Someday Soon"(sounds like Badfinger and Lennon or Harrison penned it) "Good Day to The Night" (Sounds like Big Star meets Cheap Trick) "Shes Everything" (Raspberries meets Cheap Trick). "Loli La Letta" Beatlesque all the way, with Harrison style guitar. "Love Is" has got to be heard to believe, in fact this whole CD has to be heard to believe.
