It was destiny, friends.
You go about your life, listening to music that you think has reached the upper pinnacle of perfection. The Beatles, Beethoven, Hendrix, Bach, Dylan, Mozart, GnR, the Floyd, the Band, TP & the HP's, the list is endless.
Then, by chance, you hear the sounds of David Hasslehoff.
(or "Hoff-sounds", as I like to call them)

Being a mere mortal, such music is difficult to describe.
Soothing, amazing, stupendous...
Words fail me.

The hills and valleys of the CD are translated into a joyous musical landscape that is barely-describably wonderful.
It's a ride on the Hasslehoff rollercoaster, "the Hofferhaster", a journey of pure sonic delights, guaranteed not to derail.
When I play "The David"'s music, I feel like I am One with the Ones on the CD.
(But not the Zeros.)
How could such an aural tour de force be encapsulated in a mere 700 MB disk?

It is one of the mysteries of the universe, maybe it will be solved the day before the Universe implodes or expands into emptiness.
Or maybe the answer lies in the mind of God ;-|

As the fans continually reach for new superlatives to describe the greatness that is Der Hoff, do they ever stop and think that maybe David, himself, could guide us to how great he is? Maybe so. In the meantime while other albums are like a cold pizza breakfast or, maybe, the last broken Doritos in a bag, this disc o' tunes is not only as good as eating a Cheeseburger on the Floor, but it is as good as eating a Cheeseburger on the Floor with your shirt off as the burger falls apart in your hands and a close relative lectures you on your behavior! Now that is rockin'! Hoff on fans!

As many adolescents dream of what of what it must be like to be involved with or somehow become the persona of their favorite television actor or actress, there is the impossible dream of transcending the earthly plane of acting or appearing on the Match Game, Hollywood Squares, etc. to become exponentially larger than life as a rock and roll legend.

I recall being so enamored with the likes of Terry Bradshaw, Burt Reynolds, Mr. T, Don Johnson, Tom Wopat, Jim Nabors, Leonard Nimoy, Cheryl Ladd, and many others as a child who realized the impossible dream. After I rushed to the store to purchase a recording of their musical stylings, I was left with feelings of humility, disenchantment and a loss of innocence. Their music was horrible and I was could never reimagine them as a hero and a persona that I may liken myself to one day become.

Their were the others who never recorded albums so I may never know what the impossible dream may be like if say Tom Selleck, Marty Feldman, Don Knotts, the guy who played 'Manimal', or Gil Gerard donned sequined unitards and became rock gods. Now many years older, I can say I am happy that those people never had their star tarnished by musical disgrace.

I, I.... I cannot express the true feeling of gratitude that there was one... one in my lifetime that fulfilled the impossible dream and superceded the brethren of television actors by becoming not a rock god, but a rock super god.

I purchased 'Crazy On A Saturday Night' years ago at The Christmas Tree Shop in Borne, Mass. It was mislabled for sale at $.99! I am not a thief, so I took the cd to the store manager to inform them that the cd was obviously mislabled and they stood to take a considerable loss selling this album for what I assumed would be $20 less than retail. The store manager said that was the price I could take it home, so I hurriedly placed $1 plus tax on the counter and rushed out before the manager could awaken from the discount value induced fog and realize her blunder!

I received this newest collection of greater hits for xmas and must say that I am saddened that it does not include 'Night Rocker', a play on the television show title 'Knight Rider' but otherwise has nothing to do with the show; or 'First Night Together' which includes the highest note that I have ever heard David sing in a stirring, emotionally super-charged power rock ballad. They could have easily omitted 'Du' as I must admit I do not appreciate German songs about poo, at least that is what I assume he is speaking of as I do not speak German. If you purchase this cd, I would highly recommend buying 'Crazy On a Saturday Night' to accompany this steal of a deal.

Thank you David for bringing to life the impossible dream. I can say without pause that I love you and will always be appreciative that you created works that never failed to rock my hassel hoff.

I can not tell you how much I love these reviews. I will be sure to check out The God and his rock anthem "Hot Shot City". Every night, it's 11 when Hoff is ready to rock!

WHY WON'T IT LET ME GIVE THIS MASTERPIECE 5 STARS. This is insulting to the Hoff!
