It's A HUGE treat to find things like the 12" of "wasteland" and "driving away from home" on here--because I never even KNEW 12" versions existed of these songs. But it should be noted that some of these tracks sound like they were mastered from vinyl--and not the cleanest vinyl. The worst victim is the track by The Cult, which gets absolutely distorted at times. Also, this is an uneven collection of hard-to-find tracks, overexposed tracks like the 12" of white wedding, and bizarre tracks you've never heard of--although, they may have been hits in Europe, considering this is a Spanish import.       Not sure whatever became of the 2-disc version of this import from spain, which had quite a few more new wave rarities I'd wanted on CD for years, but I got half of them on this single disc edition. The best thing about this collection is that it's NOT the same old new wave tracks, but more of the obscure one single wonders who got limited play time on new wave stations in the 80s. If you blinked, you probably missed these:

      1. all night long...peter murphy (5:47)
      2. a mirage...essence (6:03) (cure sound-alike band's most familiar single, in its full length format 12" format)
      3. desire...gene loves jezebel (5:22) (this is NOT the full length 12" version I have, so I'm not sure what this is)
      4. sparrows & the nightingales...wolfsheim (6:49)
      5. this is a seagull...snake corps (3:58)
      6. all across the nation...radio heart with gary numan (4:57) (FINALLY, one of their collaborative tracks makes its way to CD)
      7. this house is a house of trouble...sally timms (7:13)
      8. rhythm method...fountainhead (7:26) (NEVER thought I'd see this track on CD)
