Customer Reviews:
25 Year Old Malt.......2003-12-30
There are just two reasons to buy this album; they are The Ancient Mysteries and Kugelblitz. Even a hardened fan of early Brand X will probably take 20 listens to get into these tracks; but what seems like endless noodling to end all endless noodling will turn into something to love forever.
These tracks roll on and on, with an extraordinary collage of sounds where no player really leads and yet they all seem to. It has tremendous warmth and yet real edge. A total contradiction, this is real 25 year old malt. This is not for beginners.
Poor.......2001-12-14
"Livestock" is one killer live album . This one is a disappointment . The songs are rushed . The sound quality is not great . There's no audience ... there's a MISSING mood of excitement . Recorded for 'one off' FM radion transmission , this set doesn't bear 'CD' inspection . Certainly , the very LAST Brand X CD to purchase . Instead , start with 'Masques' and move to 'Livestock ' .
brand x missing period.......2001-05-19
its the best of the live recordings i have giving a 5 star rating but to me it is a 1000 star rating it is brilliant every brand x fan SHOULD one its is mind blowing it really is with percy jones playing his is unreal he is the jimi hendrix of all bass players and phill collins on drums he should stayed wiyh brand x it is a thousand time better than all of thatbubble gum music he done after he left brand x john goodsall on lead the perfect lead player for brandx and morris pert on percushion and i think that there are some other players on there whith were also mind blowing.
At Last, An "Official" Brand X Boot.......1998-06-13
After about a dozen unofficial bootlegs of live Brand X, ranging in quality from bad to awful, at last the band has authorized the release of some BBC tapes from 1976. Sound quality is quite good and the material, mostly from their 2nd album, is well performed, live & without audience noise. For fans of the band this is a welcome release.

Japanese edition of the album.......2001-08-10
This is the japanese edition of the _Missing Period_ album. Unlike most other japanese releases, this one doesn't have any extra tracks (which wouldn't make sense, anyway, considering this is an album of a prehistoric period of the band).
