Adult pop.......2005-09-15

This is easily described as adult pop. Nothing fast enough that you would imagine a music video w/ choreography, slower songs- understand the comparison to Celine, but this girl is younger and gives the MUSIC a much younger feel. Some of the darker songs could be comparable to Tori Amos's sound. I don't understand why we haven't heard of her here. Don't let terrible one-hit wonder natalie imbrulia influence your opinion on Aussie music. For younger listeners I suggest Lucie Silvas, who has a Christina Aguilara vocal range and, which she doesn't use yet to it's advantage.

I think this is a very good pop cd. I like most of the songs on it . But I do have my fav.'s . I think some of the songs are very meaning full.

Once in a while a classic cd will come along; one that is worthy of a place in history and in more importantly, in the place of the listeners' hearts. Mistaken Identity is one of these cds.
She has a beautiful voice, personality and has a stunning elegance and light which shines brightly whatever she does.
She is one singer in which the fans can see the person within, relate to and feel comfortable with. It is clear she cares greatly for her fans and is not out just to make money alone.
Powerful, angst-ridden, haunting and yet uplifting all at the same time, it is a turbulent journey, rocketing back and forth between the positivities and negativities of life.
Her lyrics are deep and meaningful and just about every song could be a number one hit.
Most importantly with this cd, she sings with strength and passion. It is rare to find someone who is so convincing. Need proof? Try listening to 'Nobody Listened'.
This is totally different from Innocent Eyes; and if you weren't a big fan of that, don't judge too soon, you might be surprised how much her style has changed.
She is an as of now undiscovered by the world diva with the voice power and control of those like Celine Dion who will become a household name just like she is in Australia, soon enough. Just wait and see.
This is the darker side of Delta Goodrem. Prepared to be shocked and amazed.

There's no mistaking Delta's immense talent!.......2005-05-24

Delta Goodrem is Australia's latest music sensation. Her original album "Innocent Eyes" achieved a near recordbreaking 14x planium, plus an unprecedented six consequtive #1 songs.

So when Delta, just 18 at the time, took time out to recover from cancer, Australia was eager to hear her experiences through her beautiful music in this highly anticipated album. True to her gorgeous style, "Mistaken Identity" is a near perfect album, which indeed reflects off her illness, but also love and life in general.

Already, this album includes three top ten singles, two of those in fact debuting at #1 on the Australian Music Charts. On top of these successes, the album itself triple-platniumed in its first week on sale. It went on to gain two more platniums. "Mistaken Identity" is a trully stunning collection of songs.

I don't think I'll review each song in great depth, simply because everyone has unique opinions and tastes. However I shall give my personal top five. They would have to be:

1) The Analyst
2) Last Night on Earth
3) Extraordinary Day
4) Out of the Blue
5) Almost Here

Of course, everyone will have different "Top 5s" but statisticly, these five tend to be the favourites among fans. Just a quick note on some of the songs; "Extraordinary Day" is in fact a song about the very day Delta found about her cancer. It is a trully haunting song, and a very valid song too, as it depicts the emotions of many human-beings who may have experienced such an illness. Also, "Almost Here" is infact a duet Delta did with former Westlife member Brian McFadden. Delta and Brian were brought together as a couple because of this song. Those two "FYIs" weren't "helpful" as such, but I just thought I'd let you on in some of the messages and secrets locked away in these brilliant songs!

Delta Goodrem is a breath of fresh air from these other so-called artists, possessing genuine talent. Through her uplifting melodies and metaphorical lyrics, Delta expresses a somewhat innocent outlook on life. There is no denying the immense gift of this young girl. Her songs have inspired many, and her bubbly, friendly spirit in real life really add shine to this great album. There is no mistaking the fact that Delta Goodrem is here to stay!

this single has midtempo Mastaken Identity fast Silence Be Heard and Slow How A Dream Looks
all incredible tracks
Silence Be Heard is a song she wrote after she Broke up with her X Mark Philuposis (spelling) and she really sings in it, its worth buying this single for that song alone but then you get breezy How A Dream Looks which sounds really weird right next too Silence Be Heard but if you look listen to it it seems really romantic, a nice ending to the Single

My favourite Single.......2005-03-14

'My favourite Single' may be a bit of an overstatement, because I only own 5, no - 6, but none-the-less, I thought I'd make my first single review on such a excellent CD.

An intro to my Delta Goodrem experience::
In 2003, I purchased Innocent Eyes and thought it was rather average, and earlier this year I purchased Delta Goodrem's second album MISTAKEN IDENTITY because I looooved the title track, and decided to take a risk, and I am very glad I did, as the album is one of my 10 favourites of all-time.
This single features my favourite song of the Mistaken Identity album, AND my all-time favourite song of hers (i.e the previosly unreleased b-side) SILENCE BE HEARD - I love the originality of this song. Se has Beth Gibbons written all over her when she sings the line: 'Is this what I get....', and piano is very very good, and the song is quite alternative-chillout. If this was a double a-side (with Silence Be Heard), I'm sure it would be #1 - at least in Australia! anyway 10/10
Track 3 is How A Dream looks, which is kind of lame, but still quite good. The guitar is the only instrument present, and it sounds a bit like an acoustic version of 'To Have Abd Not To Hold' - form Madonna's Ray of Light album. (6.5/10)

And Mistaken Identity is a song which I'm sure you have all heard, so I won't give you a description, but I will give you a 10/10 grade for it hehehe......

And therefore, even if you are not a Delta Goodrem fan (I dont know why you're browsing this item, but anyway....), but think Mistaken Identity is quite good for a D.Goodrem song, I highly recommend it, and even if you don't like the song, I'm sure you will find pleasure in 'Silence Be Heard'

I've bought this beautiful Delta Goodrem Maxi as an Import a while ago, as a profound Delta Fan, and say, this is one of the best Delta Goodrem Single releases I've seen and heard. Not only does one find the Tori Amos Piano Style tinged unique "Mistaken Identity" one also finds wonderful b-sides like "Silence Be Heard" and an older b-side, though very good "How A Dream Looks" song as well. As well as the beautiful unique "Mistaken Identity" as a Computer video. On this Limited Edition Australian Import one finds 2 Wonderful 2005 Calender Cards as well, with unseen pictures of Delta Goodrem - Giving this stunning Maxi a full 5 Stars and total Recommendation for any Delta Goodrem Fans out there - Thanks Delta!
