4 out of 5 stars One Solo Each..........2001-03-12

'9012live - The Solos' is like 'Fragile' live and in the Rabin phase. Two great live versions of '90125' songs (luckily NOT including 'Owner Of A Lonely Heart'), and five solo pieces, each of them interesting, and the best being the long closing act 'Whitefish'.

The downsides are that the record is too short and impossible to find on CD.

3 out of 5 stars Pretty cool........2000-08-10

9012Live The Solos is pretty good. I've had this one for quite a while and find it to be listenable. There are a total of seven tracks. Five of the tracks are individual member concert solos, and the other two are songs from 90125. The tracks were recorded in Edmonton, Canada and Dortmund, Germany. My favorite ones are "Hold on" and "Solly's Beard." I consider the live version of "Hold on" to be quite impressive. Trevor Rabin's instrumental "Solly's Beard" is very good and meticulous, also. The rest of the tracks are satisfying, too. 9012Live The Solos is a nice album to have. It's worth a listen.

4 out of 5 stars 9012Live-The Solos.......2000-05-14

Definitely a Yes afficondio album...but well worth the listen! Jon Andersons solo of "Soon" is truly amazing. And Trevor Rabin's guitar solo is equally appealing...Too bad one cannot find more of Trevor's material in recorded format. The last tune "Whitefish" the band gets really rockin! I would still recommend this album even to the casual Yes fan.

4 out of 5 stars Decent for YES fans & Guitar Fans.......1999-12-09

Short release, only a few tunes, but get it if only for Trevor Rabin's solo Solly's Beard. It's the only cd I know of where you'll find it. It's not on the YesYears box-set. What a rippin solo. Other than die-hard YES fans though, not much mainstream appeal to this one. Squire's Amazing Grace was his standard bass solo through the 80's and early 90's. Pretty cool if you've never heard it before.
