About the Artist
A talented guitarist, composer/arranger and seasoned performer, Riki Hendrix was born and raised in San Bernardino, California. Growing up in a household filled with the sounds of jazz jams and classical music, Riki began playing as a boy on a guitar given to him by his father. He began his professional career as a member of the R&B group, The Booty People, along with Mitch McDowell (General Caine), Robert Palmer, Ray Goodloe, Joe Phillips, and Lemon Smyth. Riki later joined forces with Buddy Miles and Billy Cox, two original members of Jimi Hendrix's Band of Gypsies, and toured extensively. His CD, "Rainbow Gypsy Child," features a wide range of signature virtuoso guitar improvisations. As a solo artist, Riki has performed in clubs, casinos, hotels, and concert venues throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, and Canada receiving rave reviews.
