The second album of that greath french band sustained the high level expectations arised by their debut. Nebelnest continues here to conjure a dark, somber and driving combination of R.I.O mind-expanding melodic patterns and thundering waves of Fripp-inspired manic, scorching guitar attacks. In short, another great album: keep on, Nebelnest!

Top prog rock from France.......2002-04-18

It took a while before I got involved in the sound of this second CD of Nebelnest. The first CD had a lot of improvisations on it, this one has more song-based tracks. The music of Nebelnest is a mix of King Crimson, Magma, Djam Karet. The mellotron is a dominant factor on this second CD making the music sound like a more aggressive version of the 'larks tongues in aspic' line-up of King Crimson. It takes a while before the music gets you, but if it does, this CD will not often leave your CD-player!

A true masterpiece! One of the best young French instrumental progessive bands to come out in years. Blistering guitar work, intricate tasteful drumming, thundering bass, and of course Genesis-like keys. I can't what for their future work! A MUST HAVE!

Fortunately, Rock in Opposition's fantastic legacy remains alive in new bands like this french combo, Nebelnest. Their debut shows a powerfull combination of R.I.O fiery and complex rhythm patterns, 'zeulish' keyboards and a menacing, raging 'psycho-Fripp' drenched guitar assault. An outstanding record, believe me.

The first time i heard it i just could not decide myself. After a few listens this is quality music, but very improvisational and brutal. Not for everyday listen but definitely a must listen in the creative , not commercial, side of experimental music.

Instrumental Prog Rock.......2001-07-28

This is a new (relatively) progressive rock / fusion 4-piece from France. Songs are all-instrumental, and range in length from 3 to 10 minutes long. Points of comparison include Djam Karet and Priam. Good stuff-- very good-- actually, if you like this kind of prog.
