Editorial Reviews
D.DiCarlo/Acqaurian Weekly 1973
"...the superstar of unpopular music."

Product Description
Freaky Geezers by k nichols fecteau re establishes this quixotic singer songwriter as what one writer dubbed him more than a quarter century ago; "...the superstar of unpopular music." fecteau's rock solid sound and quirky themes are a tongue in cheek romp through the foibles, fantasies and failures of the generation that spawned him. The ensemble playing and singing is inspired but without pretentions. The Geezers' distinct personality and sound is all the more remarkable because it is actually fecteau on all the instruments and vocals. review by LIZZY ELLEGANT/TABULA RASA TELEGRAPH

5 out of 5 stars wulfie98@hotmail.com.......2004-12-06

He taught me a lot that i hope to be able to remember by the time i'm as old as he is:) i am in the army now (despite his very dead on advice that it was a bad idea) and miss home very much. listening to his cd makes me remember being back in st.awfulstine fl, which it turns out is not so awful after all.mr fecteau is crazy talented and is one of the people i aspire to be like. i can't say enough about how awesome his sound is. i promised him i would send his cd to platnium status but alas i am but a lowly private lacking sufficiant funds. i know that you were a very important part of not only my highschool years but also those of lauren hill's and patrick white's. sorry for being so long winded but this is the only way i could find to contact you and at this point in my so far crippling(literally)military career i just needed to tell you that you were right.

Being prejudiced as K is my husband, this is a great rock n' roll cd. It is not as varied as his new cd, "Walled In," which got a five star rating from local media. Both are available by mail order at Music Matters in St Augustine, or at freakygeezers@earthlink.net.

3 out of 5 stars Reminds me of The Byrds and San Francisco.......2002-12-13

I've enjoyed listening to Freaky Geezers. It sounds to me very much like the Byrds from their psychedelic period (with a little Jorma/Airplane and Zappa/Mothers influence) and Roger McGuinn solo.

5 out of 5 stars Where it matters...........2002-10-26

I just wanted to write a review to say how awesome I thought this CD was. I'm from the New York area and am always looking for something new and different to listen to. This CD stands up next to anything of it's kind as far as I'm concerned. The less I say is one of my favorites. Any plans to play some of the bars/clubs in the city any time soon??
