The albums featured in this series were all originally released during the most creative and successful period of her career in the late '70s and early '80s. "Great Balls of Fire" has always been my favorite Dolly album, and "Dolly,Dolly, Dolly" shows her ability to cross over into pop music with ease. This cd is a must have for any Dolly fan.

Two of Dolly's long lost (and poppiest) albums finally make it onto CD. The 2 on 1 thing is a great deal as both albums ran under 35 minutes and I hope there are many more to follow. More importantly, the remastering is excellent and the sleeve notes include the front and back covers of both albums along with informative essays.

As I said, there are many Parton albums that have yet to see a CD release which is quite disgraceful and I really hope that along with the 3 UK 2 on 1's and the recent reissues in the States of 'Jolene' and 'Coat Of Many Colours' will come much more of Dolly's early 70's to mid-80's work.

Can I have a remaster of 'Here You Come Again', please. I missed the Buddha late 90's version!

I bought the sound track for Jerry Lee Lewis's rendition of Old Man River.

Which in my opinion is the best arrangement and recording of that piece of gospel music that I have ever heard.

This is a fun movie and the music is fantastic. I'm not griping really because I can see why they did this: Jerry Lee Lewis's stage persona is bombastic, over-the-top and larger-than-life. That's fine. I get it. HIs on-stage persona is really just show-biz. I once met him and he's really not like that. He's really a very nice, thoughtful southern gentleman. That's the truth. Yes, to people in his band he's a demanding perfectionist (so is McCartney, big deal). But to meet him and approach him he treats everyone with respect and kindness and is nothing like his onstage character.

That said, if you like him and his music you should definitely check this out bearing in mind it's a cartoon.

I'm just glad the killer is still alive and working the ivories.

I am a 15 year old who likes older time periods. I love the '50s and all of its wonderful musicians. So when I found out there was a movie about Jerry Lee Lewis I just had to see it.
I ordered the DVD and watched it and immediately fell in love. The story line is amazing. There are funny parts and there are romantic parts that made my heart melt. Jerry Lee's relationship with Myra was really sweet. The music was great. Shortly after I purchased the DVD, I also bought the movie's soundtrack.
Wonderful movie. Highly Reccomended. Dennis Quaid did a great job as Jerry Lee Lewis.

This movie told a good story and I like it, but the sad thing is that this movie is absolutly nothing like Jerry Lee Lewis's life. Most of the things that happened in the movie are totally fiction. Jerry is more serious that the clown that Dennis Quaid acted out. Now the music on it is a total different story, it is just wonderful. The music is Jerry Lee Lewis singing, not dennis quaid and it is just great. Wynona did a good job of being Myra in my opinion, and I think you will find her laugh in the movie very humerous. But I would advise you to buy the movie because it is just a really good story, and the sound track is definatly wonderful!

    No mention of venue, recording date, or why the substandard sound. As a record store Manager/record collector fan once said to me (when it comes to classic artists) "...you take what you can get" and the takin' is plenty here with cookin' renditions of lesser-known JLL, i.e. "Flip, Flop, and Fly", "Help Me Make It Through The Night", and well-known JLL "What'd I Say", "Chantilly Lace" and "Me And Bobby McGee", the last two titles mentioned being his greatest versions yet! The low-fidelity concert transciption actually adds "pop" to the mix, which often is missing from "proper" live offerings.
    Ofcourse, there are other live Lee Lewis sets out there, you know, from Alabama, from Italy, from Germany, from all over. I haven't heard a better "Bobby McGee" than on this budget set.

    Great Balls of fire lives up to it's title.The Greatest Piano player of all time poundsout the music from the ivory keys, like noone else can. The music and the man Jerry Lee Lewis deserves the respect of us all. All the negative writings cannot take awayfrom Jerry Lee Lewis anything that couldkeep me from listening and buying all ofhis music that I can find. A true fan I am,living just five miles from the Killer himself, I suggest that you listen and enjoyhis music, and not all the negative thingssaid. Jerry Lee Lewis is human and so arewe, and we also have negative issues, butthis cannot and will not take away the talent, Of the Greatest Pumping Piano Playerof all time, Mr Jerry Lee Lewis!

    Jerry lee lewis could very well be recognized as the GG Allin Of the 50's. He Married his
    13 year old cousin, Went to england regardless of what they thought of him, he pushed pianos into the audience as well as throwing broken peices at them with the intent of doing harm. Its no wonder people liked elvis better than jerry, but jerry was by far a much more talanted musician than elvis ever was (hey elvis sucks)And let me tell you, this guy could play the piano better than anybody else on this earth. at least To my knowlage anyway. I can't reccomend this album enough. You can't really find it anymore, but there are plenty of "greatest hits" cd's to choose from. It really dosen't matter which one you get, their all great. forget about Elvis. This guy was it.

    I was VERY apprehensive about getting this CD. Turns out that the music mixes are done well. There are a few lousy ones but the good one like "Johnny B Goode" and "Shake Rattle & Roll" make up for it. Works great for Aqua Aerobics for an older audience.
