As a musician myself, I know too well that one of the most important ingredients in ANY performance (live or recorded) is passion. The recordings here generally lack the same passion and sheer drama of the originals. Much of the instrumentation has been reduced to a cheezy, thin, plastic synthesized replica. The performances are simply a watered-down lackluster version of the classic originals. If it were not for the sheer volume of tracks compiled here, I would have rated the comp only "one star".

I have watched almost all the shows that are on these 4 cd's. Many were made before I started watching TV. Most I've seen once or twice before.

Definitely not as good as the originals. You'll probably notice the slight differences since it's stuff you saw and listened to every week or everyday in reruns growing up, but it's still an amazing collection.

I bought this in part because it had soundtracks to tv shows that are unavailable. My husband and I watch aome British programming. Many of the theme songs are for what seems like obscure British shows. That said; it has been enjoyable to hear music that I would normally never hear. Some music does sound tinny; some are very very rich, and some music is derived from actual preformances from the original artists. I think this is worth buying because is has a wonderful blend of music. The pieces are full soundtracks so they includes the parts of the theme song which are often edited out. I think the orchestra's who preformed the music did a great job. I have MonsterMania which redoes the soundtracks to the Godzilla movies. The interpretation is less heavy and stark than the preformance we associate with the original soundtrack; but I regard it as a new way to appreciate the music and all the componets which make the song unique.

A hiphop classic album. I barely heard this album a couple months ago, and its good through most of all of it. M.O.P gots energy in his voice, thats what I like about him and his style. Good beats, real hiphop style you can feel it. Came out in 1996, and its still poppin now days. Good appearances also. Good lyrics, overall a great cd. Theres no reason why this shouldnt be in your hiphop collection! Check this album out now!! Its worth it!

Fizzy Womack & Billy Danze return after 2 years and deliver another solid album, my 2nd favorite of their 5 rap albums. Of the 14 songs on here, 2 are classics, 2 are ok and the other 10 are good or great songs. Once again, as with all their albums, you don't get no fake $hi+ just pure gangsta and hardcore. Production is good as with all their albums and done by most of the same people who do all their beats. DJ Premier did 6 songs, Laze-E-Laze did 4, Big Jaz did 3 and Ali Dee did 1. Guests are on the first 3 songs (and are hardcore themselves - Teflon & the great Kool G Rap) so you still get a lot of M.O.P. A must have for real hardcore rap fans not that radio and MTV crap.

Honestly, the beats on "Firing Squad" were better than "Warriorz" because most of the tracks are dark and fiery. DJ Premier produced the hotest tracks:

"Firing Squad" jazzy but dark piano loop
"New Jack City" nice work with the xlyophone
"Stick to your gunz" need more Kool G Rap collabos
"Downtown Swinga ('96)" underground classic

The lyrics on this CD are hot. M.O.P. were definitely hungry when the tracks were created. This group has been slept on for years. Respect due.

      As a fan of their old work as The Blood Farmers I couldn't resist trying them out. This is an excellent slice of good old fashioned stoner rock!
      Infact it's more than that as there are more influences present in this record. A bit of stoner/doom/metal and even a jolly bit of hoedown, this, and varying tempos give each song a bit of character and individuality. Overall there is a strong (well done) 60's / 70's feel throughout making it an excellent album to listen to when you've just got in from work or getting drunk (or both!), nicely bass-driven and some fluid guitar work inter-woven throughout the tracks make it such a good listen.
      The second album "Smoke" posesses more multilayered variety than this release such as some nice Hawkwindesque soundscapes but this is still an amazing album an well worth picking up if you can find it :) This album also has a good bonus track too!
