This album leaves me breathless. It is just AWESOME! The music is very beautiful and inspiring. I just love the song "Take care love". I can just listen to that song over and over again. The lead vocals are so beautiful and the music very enigmatic and inspiring, one of Red Flag's best compositions. This is an album to have if you are a Red Flag fan.

Solid works from Reynolds brothers.................2002-08-04

"The Eagle and Child" album consists of some GREAT "catchy" tracks such as: "Time", "In My Arms Again", "The Game", "Deeper Shade of Blue", and "Illumination." Those are my favorite tracks in this album. The mood of the album itselves is more on the "light"-kind of synthpop. Definitely far from the darker "The Crypt" or "Fear of A Red Planet" album. So, for those who enjoy a happy & light synthpop, this album is definitely for you. Peace !!

Red Flag before turning towards darkness...........2002-05-08

This is the last album by the band before moving towards dark/gothic synth. It is a very good album and I really like it.
I enjoy most of the songs in this album. The lyrics are great as always and the music is fantastic (true synth-pop). The Reynolds Brothers have never let me down yet. The vocals are like the previous albums and Chris does a great job with it. Songs like "Disarray", "Synthpopalooza", "Illumination", "Take Care Love", "She's My Girl","Time",and "Deper Shade of Blue" are great to listen and dance to. Other songs like "The Game", and "In My Arms Again" are romantic and slow. Definate must have for all fans.

This album is truly magical. The songs were written with warmth, insight, and strength. The lyric's have the power to heal, reaching out to listeners and drawing them in. The song entitled, "The Child in My Heart" evokes a sense of youthfulness and innocence. The lyrics are fascinating while the singing is heartfelt and beautiful. These days, it seems that there are many main stream artists who have lost touch with thier emotions, which, is the very essence of the art. In this album, Adrienne really brings it home by embracing those emotions allowing for a much fuller and richer experience. Her approach is gentle and soothing evoking hints of Joan Biaz as her music soothes the listeners hearts and minds. The album acts as a great contribution to folk and country music. I would highly recommend it to anyone who considers themself a connoisseur of the fine arts or, just plain likes good music!

As a fan and a friend of Adrienne Kirkey, I take great pleasure in having the opportunity to be the first to write about this fabulous singer/songwriter on Amazon. Not only does she write great music, but the honesty in which she conveys it on this CD is tremendous. I wouldn't be surprised if someday very soon you will be seeing her name on a major label, either as a performer and/or a writer.
