This Album is excellent. I recieved it from my sister when it was still in Promo. Many of my friends always ask me who this is when I play it during parties. It's very lounge/ chill/ ambient type music. Her voice is etherial and haunting. I suggest this to anyone who enjoys good female vocals with light electronic beats.

This sampler is not just another chill out compilation! I know the "Nikki Beach Club" in South Beach very well and I never heard of "Loungism Recordings" before (it must be a small label in Germany), but together they did a very good job releasing this CD. It represents exactly the relaxed atmosphere and the musical journey of a sunny afternoon in the Nikki Beach Club. My opinion: Excellent choice of music tracks!

4 out of 5 stars Aiming for the Costes collection.......2001-09-19

Anyone interested in the Hotel Costes collection (and who wouldn't be?), will no doubt find satisfaction with this collection. Coming from Miami's trendiest of spots, the Nikki Beach Club, this is a compilation of relaxed grooves and house beats. At times upbeat and energetic, at others a touch mellower, this album lacks the variety and eclectical nature of other bar/lounge cds, but does capture the hint of pretension one expects to find from an establishment willing to do this sort of thing. The nearest comparison I can make is Moby covering the aforementioned Hotel Costes compilation of cds. Those are great. This is good. But, you'll still find some good ear candy and that ain't a bad thing at all.
