What you aren't getting..........2005-07-27
This is indeed mostly 12" versions with great sound, but here are some catches. Pat Benatar's "Love is a Battlefield" is the full length album version, not the 12". There are a few remixes of We Close Our Eyes available, the one you're getting here is the "Total Overhang mix". Vienna by Ultravox is simply the album version. Killing Joke's Love Like Blood is the album version. "Tarzan Boy" is the US mix, not the original euro mix I've been seeking on CD since the day the song was released. Atomic is the Diddy mix from the blondie remix project from the late 90s. Never Ending Story is not the US mix from the US 12" I have, this is the mix from the kajagoogoo/limahl greatest hits CD. Other than that, it's still a great way to get a whole load of 80s 12" singles on CD with great sound quality. Track times:

Well, what can I say. This collection does include some very rare extended remixes from known groups like Duran Duran and Nu Shooz. But, once you hear these, the rest are a bunch of nobody's. Perhaps they were big in the Netherlands, but not in the USA. So, word of caution. Unless you are really wanting to get your hands on some very rare Billy Idol, Duran Duran, Nu Shooz, etc. remixes, then get this collection and enjoy just these "known" artists. All the other tracks are just filler.
