About the Artist
SU A Cappella began with the vision of two A Cappella starved students, Jeremy Heidenreich, and Emma Thompson. SU Rhapsody was the first group to be formed. More recently we have formed two new groups; The Jeweltones (all Female), and the Chord Kings (all male).
Both thought that Susquehanna would benefit greatly from an a cappella organization on campus. "There are many opportunities to sing secular and sacred music at Susquehanna, but there's no organization where students can sing popular songs a cappella." So, they decided to start their own group.
In early January 1998, Jeremy and Emma approached the Student Government Association (SGA) in the hopes of being officially recognized. With a list of 20 students, and a great sales pitch, SGA recognized the group. The "A Cappella Club" was born.
During the spring of 1998 the group practiced and slowly mastered a few pieces. One of the early difficulties was the absence of arrangements. This was solved the following semester when music was purchased or arranged, and our name changed to SU Rhapsody.
The Fall semester of 1998 went by quickly as the group learned as many songs as they could for their first concert. Eventually 12 songs were under their belt. The concert date was December 12th, 1998. The very first concert was received very well by an enthusiastic and large audience. SU Rhapsody had finally become the a cappella group that Jeremy and Emma knew it could be, and we're still growing.

What I'd really like to see is Mark Norman singing "Come On Over Baby" by Christina Aguilera. Mark is just soo hot in those black leather pants and baby tee! I know he does it, because I've heard it, but I want him to put it on a CD, along with the rest of the SU Rhapsody/Jeweltones/Chord Kings clan. I can't wait!
