Tom Waits has always has a knack for creating moody, melancholy masterpieces. This track is no exception. A dark and gruff country flavored ditty, "Hold On" is a logical progression from his previous work. Hope and Despair seem to dance a slow Texas two-step here, as Tom reminds us over a plodding, almost dirge-like western guitar sound to "...take my hand, I'm standing right there, you gotta hold on..." Beautiful imagery, great atmospheric music, plus the addition of two non-album tracks make this one worth buying for sure.

Ok, here is the deal about this band. There are a few things that I have taken a few second looks at but on a whole, the band is really good. My teenage daughter swears by them. I have watched her open up and talk more about her feelings because these guys talk about real life. The one exception is "My Bloody Valentine." That is a little much, but we talk about the music and it has been something that has help her so much that there is no one that could tell me that they are not a great band. They have fun at what they are doing, talk about real life, and they reach out to those who are not spoken for!
The CD, Young & the Hopeless, I purchased originally for me. "Hold On" is one of the best messages that I have heard in years! I only wish that the bands when I was a teen were more like these guys!

I'll admit that I'm not a big GC fan and I don't perticularly like the single 'Young & Hopless' but I do love the video for 'Hold On'. It is a beautifuly insperational video and it alone is worth the money, although I would check out the used & new copes for better deals first.

have you noticed that everyone that had ever given Good Charlotte a good review can't spell and dEy tYpE LyKe DiS?? Are you really going to listen to advice from stupid 13 year old kids? Please do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from anything relating to GC. If you like punk, i recommend you go buy a Green Day, Rancid or Blink 182 cd. All of them cost about the same and has more than three songs on it.

Its fun to listen to it makes you want to get up and dance. The song is good and the music video just puts the iceing on the cake if you no what I mean. If you are not already a B*witched fan this song will make you become one. I wasn't a B*witched fan intill I heard it on Disney. It was one of there music videos. It was dabomb. Hope you people get it because it is selling out quick!

Jesse Hold On is a great up beat song about two people being engaged and waiting for their wedding day. The song has a banjo playing in the beginning that really kinda sets the mood for the song. It's a really great song, and if your a B*Witched fan you must get it! It also has a re-make of a song called 'Coming Around Again' that I just love. B*Witched did a beautiful job with it!

I don't have the CD, but I've been listening to the Real Player snippits, and I think the CD is great! Jesse Hold On is nice and upbeat, but a song easily stuck in your head, and Coming Around Again is nice and smooth, and a very pretty song. I know the CD is ten something dollars, but it's worth it!
