to the brazilan fan, i dont know how you can say the lyrics dont make sense! they're wonderful, awful is a power pop punk song about the music industry and selling out. its one of the greatest songs from celebrity skin and i urge you to get the awful single!

Great 2 CD Import for the money.......2000-08-17

If you already own a copy of Celebrity Skin, this importversion of the CD isn't for you, as you'll be [paying extra money] for basically an extra CD. But if you don't already own it, this CD is a real treat! There are great live versions of "Heaven Tonight" and "Awful" on the second CD, as well as an incredible dance remix of "Malibu". This is a highly recommended import of a great album!

Very,Very Cool.......2000-02-02

This is an absolutely spectacular CD. Actually it's 2 CD's,but you already knew that. I have the normal CD,but I couldn't pass this one up. The second CD with all the live tracks is one of the best I've ever heard. It has Pretty On The Inside(which is one of my favorite Hole songs). Plus 5 other songs. One of which is called Paradise City.It's a Guns&Roses song(I despise that band),but Hole did a great job on it considering it was a "joke cover".You also get plenty of Courtney's stage banter, which is a real treat. She really let's one guy in the audience have it,and of course she comments on the fact that she lost her voice on a Guns&Roses song. Anyway the live tracks rock,and Courtney's stage banter is really cool and funny. I suggest you get this album.

Good single/ep! It starts off with AWFUL (great song) then a REALLY good live version of "pretty on the inside", lots of shrieking and its played really hard, its great, which immediatly kicks into "Heaven Tonight", cute version, then "Northern Star", which is gorgeous, when courtney sings during the bridge (it made me cry when i first heard the lyrics she sang) then "Awful" live, which is REALLY good, i love how she screams some of the lyrics "I WAS PUNK! NOW I'M JUST STUPID I'M SO AWWWWWFULLLLLLLLL!". Then a dancemix of Malibu. Which is, pretty good I guess. I mean, it would have been better if they just put another live track on, but its still pretty cool, if you like dance music. The tour booklet has REALLY great photos too! great EP

Just What You Need if You Missed the Tour.......1999-09-09

I was unfortunate enough to miss the Hole tour this year. Having had tickets to see them in NC just before they bailed off of co-headlining with Manson, I think that the live tracks here (recorded at the Australian Big Day Out Festival) are the next best thing. However, the real find on this disc may be the Ted Ottaviano Club Mix of Malibu. As a fan of Hole and a fan of club music, I was a little worried about the marriage of these two genres. I am pleased to say that Mr. Ottaviano's treatment of Courtney's vocals was not heavy-handed or muffling. This remix is interesting and fun to listen to. This is a great band and I think it's cool that this song may even reach club kids who might not otherwise have given them a listen. If you like club music and you like the band, you won't be disappointed.

Tastes like candy............1999-06-22

Even though I still like MAlibu better this is the hardest song on the whole "Celebrity Skin" album and the music video is excellent! I miss Hole when they were in their indie-punk days so I guess "Awful" will just have to suffice not as a punk song but more glam-power-pop-rockish. I am Hole's Biggest fan and always will be.

hole is absolutly the best band ever and courtney is the best woman rock star of them all..by far.get all of their cd's and you'll never listen to anything else.Punk Rock-candy rock-grunge!!!!I love it all.

DO YOU REALLY NEED IT?.......2000-04-11

So is this really worth the money for the elusive 'B' sides? The jury is hung. Part of me wants it simply because it has HOLE stamped on it, then again for this price you can pick up a "hole" lot more music. Buy it if you're mad on Courtney, otherwise there are better CDs elsewhere.

GREAT SINGLE!.......2006-06-12

This song is so good! Its a shame these lovely, talented ladies didn't make it big here in the U.S. with this single. You would think it would have at least cracked top 40. But alas, America being predominately Rap infatuated, its not THAT big of a shocker that REAL music like this was overlooked. The music and the beats in this song are so odd and cool at the same time and they are what make it like no other pop song out there! If you're looking for your typical cookie-cutter "older britney-esque" pop music, you will be dissapointed. But if you're looking for a song that's like nothing else out there, but still works at the same time, then you have to get this single. PLUS it comes with the enhanced video which almost worth the price itself!
