How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days [Soundtrack]
Editorial Reviews
Amazon.com
If you came anywhere within earshot of country radio in 2002, you'll immediately recognize the lead cut on this soundtrack, Keith Urban's chart-topping "Somebody Like You," presented here in a pop remix that doesn't diminish the original's catchiness. The rest of this set is routine but well-selected romantic comedy fare: a couple of oldies ("You're So Vain," "Let's Stay Together"); modern rock standards by Sixpence None the Richer and Gin Blossoms; a George Thorogood track, undoubtedly for the ubiquitous rowdy bar scene. But the real treats here come out of left field, in the form of "Good Day," a peppy, Dave Matthews-style sing-along from Bay Area faves Luce, and Fisher's dreamy, trip-hop rendition of Nat "King" Cole's "L.O.V.E." Aside from two bland contributions by Canadian balladeer Chantal Kreviazak, the set of songs showcased on 10 Days deserves to hang out in the CD player much longer than that. --Kurt B. Reighley

Customer Reviews:
Fun Soundtrack from a Fun Movie.......2007-04-19
I really love this soundtrack. It makes a great companion for my spring days in my convertible. My favorite is Follow You Down by Gin Blossoms, but I like almost all of the songs (except for the one by Luce).
Can't put it down.......2007-03-08
As another reviewer said. This may be the easiest CD to wear out in 10 days.
Great movie, great music!.......2007-01-09
My daughter & I absolutely loved this movie, so I bought the soundtrack for her as a gift. We both love it! I have always enjoyed movie soundtracks, since you get a nice mix of artists...but this one has the perfect balance of old and new music. The 2 new songs performed by Chantal Kreviazuk are a terrific fit with old classics by Carly Simon and Al Green. It's definitely a CD to listen to all the way through...no skipping on this one!
Great CD.......2006-03-15
Fun music to listen to when on a long trip. Great mixture of music.
Amazon Critics Suck.......2005-12-17
All of the songs on this CD are great but the Amazon reviewer made the stupidest remark about Chantal - she had the most moving songs here and is truly a hidden star.
